Arrival & Departure

Check In

  • When you first arrive at the House you will be asked to sign in using our in-House digital platform at the security desk. You must sign in with security every time you enter the House during your stay.
  • When you arrive, all guests over the age of 18 will present their IDs and receive a guest badge. There are only 2 keys given per room. These keys will get you in to the building, your room, and the laundry and trash rooms on your floor.
  • You may request a tour if you are interested, or set up a time to get one later by asking the front desk.
  • Only those listed as reservation guests on the reservation will be permitted to check-in. To change your guest list, please reach out to the referring social worker.

Check Out

  • Prior to checking out please make sure you clean your room and place all linens in the provided bag. Take out all trash and recycling to the trash room on your floor and put the furniture back where you found it.
  • Stop by the front desk on your way out to return your keys and confirm your departure.

Your Room & Amenities

Thermostat and Room Temperature

  • There is a thermostat located in each room to control the temperature.
  • Windows can be cracked open. Press on the two clamps and push in the opposite direction to open the window.
  • Please do not turn the AC/Heat with the window open.

Room Arrangement

  • Make yourself at home while you are here! Feel free to rearrange the furniture however you like, we just ask that you put everything back before you checkout.
  • Each room has 2 twin beds and a full size bed in the pull-out couch.
  • There is a small refrigerator embedded in the night stand.
  • Cribs and pack-and-plays are available upon request. Please dial 0 to request from the front desk.
  • No cooking, heating, or open-flame appliances are permitted in guest rooms, including but not limited to microwaves, hot plates, kettles, space heaters, candles, or similar items.
  • Management reserves the right to conduct random room inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and House policies.

TV

  • The TV has various channels, please check the guide for specifics.
  • The home screen that first appears has House related information, memos and updates.
  • Your TV also has a Chromecast for you to be able to cast to the TV from your device.

WIFI

  • Free WIFI is available at the house.
  • The WIFI connection is named RMH-NY.
  • Once selected please wait for the pop up and follow prompts for unlimited connection.

Room Phone Calls

  • Your room phone is able to make free local calls, just dial "9-1" followed by the number you are trying to contact.
  • Dial 0 to contact the front desk.

Showers & Tubs

  • Rooms with Tubs: To use the shower head pull the rim of the faucet down while the water is on.
  • Rooms without Tubs: To use the shower head, just turn the handle.
  • Shower Chairs and Tub Stoppers are available, please dial 0 to request one from the front desk.

Linens & Toiletries

  • Towels, Sheets and Blankets are provided in your room's closet.
  • Please place dirty linens in the provided bag upon check out.
  • If additional linens are needed please dial 0 to contact the front desk.
  • Toiletries such as toilet paper, toothbrushes, shampoo, baby diapers, cleaning products, etc. are available upon request. Please contact the front desk.

Laundry

  • Laundry facilities are available to guests during designated hours. Hours of operation are posted and subject to change based on operational needs.
  • Guests must not leave laundry unattended for extended periods to ensure fair access for all families.
  • Your laundry room is located on your floor at one end of the hall; the other end is the trash room.
  • Detergent is available at the front desk. If you have any issues, please contact the front desk.

Garbage

  • The trash and recycling room is located on your floor at one end of the hall, the other end is the laundry room.
  • Please place all trash down the trash chute built into the wall. Pull on the handle to open the chute.
  • Recycling can be placed in the bin located in your room. Please refer to the sign above the recycling bin to see what we are able to recycle.
  • Additional trash bags are located in your room. If you run out of extra trash bags please dial 0 and inform the front desk.
  • If your child is receiving radiation treatments and is using diapers, please bring them down to the front desk for proper disposal.
  • If you have medical waste or equipment, you must work with your hospital provider to determine how to properly dispose of it.
