Inspiring - Inclusive - Empowered
We acknowledge the Minjungbal people, of the Bundjalung Nation, who are the original custodians of the land on which the school proudly stands. We raise our hands to the sky that covers the Aboriginal land. We touch the ground in the care of the Aboriginal land. We place our hands on our hearts in love of the Aboriginal land.

From the Principal:
And... just like that Term 1 is coming to a close. Parent Teacher Interviews Thank you to all the parents who booked and attended parent teacher meetings over the past week and a half. Our teachers work tirelessly to engage students in rich learning sequences every day. Through these conversations, we hope you gained a deeper understanding of how well our teachers know and care for the children in their class. Nikki Perin will reschedule her interviews for next term.
Sport
PSSA Tennis We took four amazing Year 6 students to represent our school against Mullumbimby at the PSSA Tennis last week. Although they didn’t come away with the win, their effort and enthusiasm were outstanding. We are incredibly proud of them.
Cross Country We had another fantastic day on Thursday at the VoSS Cross Country. It was a scorcher! Luckily, we were able to set up three sprinklers along the track and a drinks station to help keep everyone cool. Students from all schools did a magnificent job tackling the challenging 1km loop course. A HUGE thank you to all staff, especially those from The Pocket, who helped make the day such a success—cheering along the course, opening classrooms as cool-down spaces, and joining in soccer and handball games. Of course, we also extend our thanks to the parents who jumped in to support the P&C in feeding the masses. Not only was there amazing food served all day to our wider community, but the P&C also raised over $2,500.00! Well done and thank you.
The Arts
Dance Skye and Salma attended the North Coast Dance Ensemble last week and represented our school beautifully. Sydney Choir Excursion Just a reminder there is a payment instalment due this week for the Sydney trip. Thanks to those who have already made this payment.
Staffing Nikki Perin will be on leave until next term. Lyndi Hauenstein is on leave until the beginning of Term 3. Kieron White will lead learning in Year 2 during this time.
