Week 2
Art/History - In our recent art sessions, we explored the fascinating world of Ancient Greece and its powerful gods and goddesses. The children each chose their favourite god and brought them to life by creating their own masks using plaster gauze. We carefully layered the gauze to build features such as eyebrows, hair and even impressive facial hair! Once the masks had dried, it was time to paint them. The children loved adding colour and personality to their creations, thinking carefully about how their chosen god might look. It was wonderful to see their creativity and imagination shine through. We had so much fun making these masks and learning about the stories behind the Ancient Greek gods. The finished pieces look fantastic and we are very proud of them!
Oracy Assembly - We shared another oracy assembly this week with Year 4. This week, we looked at mental health. We looked at the difference between physical and mental health and how to take care of both.
World Book Day! - We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday by coming to school in what we like to wear when we read. We enjoyed lots of activities before joining a quiz online with schools from all across the country.
