- IMPORTANT: No School Friday, March 13, 2026 – All Elementary, Middle, and High School Students. Based on internal data, we project a significant level of non-attendance across the district, which would prevent us from maintaining normal instructional operations. As a result, the Kaneland Board of Education and District Administration have determined there will be NO SCHOOL. This schedule change applies to all Kaneland CUSD 302 students, including those at all Elementary buildings, Harter Middle School, and Kaneland High School. This attendance day will be made up in May.

Key dates to remember: Application Opens: February 7, 2026; Application Deadline: March 13, 2026; Preschool Lottery: March 16, 2026; Parent Confirmation Emails Sent: March 20, 2026. Don’t miss your chance to apply and secure your spot! 4. Save the date for the Kaneland Special Needs Craft & Vendor Show on Saturday, April 11, at Harter Middle School from 9 am-3 pm! Shop for Mother’s Day gifts, enjoy a bake sale and raffles, and check out the Resource Fair from 9 am-12 pm. 5. Join us for the annual Kaneland Baseball and Softball Pig Roast Family Fun Night 2026! NCJC Art Workshop Field Trip: Twenty-one 8th grade students participated in all-day art workshops hosted by artists at Northern Illinois University
Congratulations to KHS Senior, Kailey K., who was selected to sing the National Anthem at the IHSA 3A and 4A semi-final boys basketball games.
Kaneland Board
The next regular Kaneland Board of Education meeting takes place on Monday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Kaneland Harter Middle School. Finance/Facility, Community Engagement, and Education Committees will meet at 6:00 p.m. prior to the board meeting. All of these meetings are open to the public. Together We Build
The scheduled Core Planning Committees, comprised of community and staff members have concluded. There will be ongoing feedback meetings as needed. Bid phasing, timeline, and design process information was presented at the Kaneland Board Meeting on January 26, 2026.
