Parent Feedback Survey
It's really important for us to gather feedback about school operations, our learning programs, partnerships with yourselves and our overall priorities for the school. We do this in a multitude of ways and I find the conversations I have with many of you so productive in highlighting both our strengths and areas where we can improve.
The Tell Them From Me® (TTFM) student, parent and teacher surveys allow us to measure and understand the factors that are known to have direct and profound impact on student learning and well-being. The survey gives us data to enable evidence-based school planning with confidence about critical topics such as student engagement, learning programs, communication, school safety, inclusivity and many others.
We would really value your feedback and will look forward to sharing the data with you. Most importantly, it will help us as a school to keep a clear focus on improving and being the best we can be for your children in the areas that really matter.
This link below will take you straight to the survey.
Kindergarten 2024 Playgroup
We are thrilled to report that our Kindergarten 2024 Playgroup, held on 13 September, was a resounding success! This event brought together new families and provided an opportunity for them to connect with one another as they embark on their journey at Anzac Park PS.
We extend our gratitude to the parents of our 2023 Kindergarten students for generously hosting a delightful morning tea. It was a warm and welcoming gesture that truly exemplifies the spirit of our school community.
Coming together as a community is an essential aspect of our school ethos, and events like these play a crucial role in fostering a sense of belonging and support among our families. We are excited to witness the bonds forming and look forward to seeing these friendships continue to grow throughout the year.
2024 Enrolment Intentions
We are currently in the process of planning for 2024. This includes the large task of determining staffing, classes, the location of each class in the school and the learning programs that will run next year. To complete this process, it is essential that we have accurate enrolment numbers. Please email the school office if your child is not returning to Anzac Park for the 2024 school year.
Safety Around Our School
It is important that we continue to work together to ensure our children are safe when they are coming to school each morning and leaving school each afternoon. These measures include;
- Supervising your children after school in Anzac Park. I understand that we have some students from Anzac Park entering the community garden without supervision from parents.
- Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zone: On Anzac Avenue, we have a designated drop-off and pick-up area. Please do not park your vehicle in this area. This area is intended to be used by children who are able to independently enter and exit a vehicle. Parents are continuing to double park for children to exit the vehicle. This is very dangerous around our school. Please ensure your car is parked legally before your child exits the car.
- 5-Minute Parking Zone: This area on Anzac Avenue allows for cars to park for up to five minutes during drop off and pick up times. Please only use this area if you are able to quickly drop your child off in the morning. If the Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zone and the 5-Minute Parking Zone are used by all parents and carers correctly, we will have a much faster turn-around of parking spaces and flow of traffic before and after school.
Calling all cooks!
We want to create a community recipe cookbook to celebrate our diverse community. We currently have only received 15 recipe's across the school.
If you have a recipe that you would like to share, please submit it by 18 October. Recipes can be from any country or culture, and they can be simple or complex. We are looking for recipes that are both delicious and easy to make.
Learning Hub Snapshot - Periwinkle
Periwinkle has had a focus on informative writing this term. We have been looking at states in Australia and Australia's neighbours. A new skill we have learnt is note-taking and being able to turn these notes into informative paragraphs.
Year 6 Charity Games Day
On Friday in Week 10, the Community and Student Engagement Squads will be hosting Anzac Park’s first Year 6 Charity Games Day!
This term, Year 6 students have been busy creating, developing, and testing their own physical activity games as a part of their PDHPE unit. All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will be invited to participate in these games at a scheduled time on this day.
Anzac Park students are encouraged to bring a donation on the day as all proceeds will be going to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, voted for by Year 6 students. This charity creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Students are asked to bring a minimum of a gold coin donation on the day, though those who can donate more are encouraged to do so. The class/hub that raises the most money will receive a prize!
Rewards for students playing the games will include house points and all are encouraged to have fun and support our Year 6 students!
