My Journey Rachel Phillips

An early start, driving to Gatwick, before flying to Edinburgh to visit my daughter (a 4th year vet student) for her 21st birthday weekend. My plan was to take pictures from inside any form of transport, but this quickly evolved into trying to show reflections off car mirrors, planes surfaces, windows, bins, trams, buses, taxis, buildings and glass stairs. After climbing Arthur's seat, we all sat down in thought, reflecting on the amazing views, in particular, one with Edinburgh castle in the distance, framed by pink flowers. I also spent time trying to learn how to capture movement of buses, taxis and trams. Whilst capturing Edinburgh buses, I loved the bright colours of some wall art, that matched the colours, and also looked like a person in thought. The final shot of the day was in Helena's vet school. She was excited that we all wanted to see inside the vet school, and I finished the day capturing the most symmetrical reflection from 1, not 3 sets of stairs, with my family at the top, adding perspective.
