2026-2027 School year
The 2026–2027 school calendar has been approved and submitted to the Office of Catholic Schools. We know having key dates early helps everyone begin thinking about the rhythm of the coming year. A Year-at-a-Glance calendar will be shared soon, but we wanted to make sure you had the most important dates now. The first day of school for students will be August 12, 2026, and the last day will be May 28, 2027.
Dear Bluejay Family, As we enter this important week of testing, today’s Gospel from John 11—the raising of Lazarus—offers us a powerful reminder of who we are and where our hope is rooted. In this passage, Jesus calls Lazarus out of the tomb, bringing life where there had been fear, doubt, and uncertainty. He does not simply restore Lazarus physically—He reveals that He is the source of life itself. Even in moments that feel overwhelming or uncertain, Jesus meets us there and calls us forward. For our students, testing week can sometimes feel like one of those moments—filled with pressure or anxiety. But just as Jesus called Lazarus by name, He calls each of our students to step forward with confidence in the gifts they have been given. They are more than a score. They are known, loved, and created with purpose. As a school community, we continue to emphasize that our goal is not perfection, but faithfulness—to use the talents God has given us to the best of our ability. With preparation, perseverance, and trust in Him, our students are ready. Let us keep our Bluejays in prayer this week—that they may approach each day with peace, confidence, and the assurance that Christ walks with them in every moment.
Grace & Peace, Erin B. Henry Principal
“Jesus told her, 'I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,...'" – JOHN 11:25.
Reminder about Parking
Out of respect for those spending time in prayer, the chapel parking spaces in the Sacred Heart parking lot marked in RED are reserved for adorers 24/7. Please Welcome
Mrs. Alexis Champagne We are excited to welcome Mrs. Alexis Champagne as a 3rd grade teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. A proud alumna of St. Cecilia (Class of 2007), she is especially grateful for the opportunity to return to the school that helped shape her academic and spiritual foundation. Mrs. Champagne brings six years of teaching experience to the classroom and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She is deeply passionate about education and is committed to helping her students grow both academically and personally. She strives to create a classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to become the best versions of themselves. Her faith is an important part of her life and guides the way she approaches both her teaching and her relationships with others. She is grateful to share in the mission of St. Cecilia and to help form students in both mind and heart. Outside of school, Mrs. Champagne enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and their dog, Nola. She loves being with family and friends and especially enjoys relaxing at their camp on Toledo Bend. Continue saving your pop tabs from any canned product (sodas, canned foods). We will also accept metal bottle tops. The aluminum pop tabs are recycled, just like you would recycle plastic containers or newspapers. The money generated from recycling the tabs is used in a general operating budget to ensure that the Ronald McDonald House remains open for families of sick or injured children. Bring them in the week of April 27. There will be special collection containers near the gym. Please contact Mrs. Gilberti bgilberti@scsbluejays.org or Mrs.Williamson kwilliamson@scsbluejays.org if you have any questions. Keep collecting!!!!
