Wildfire & Civil Unrest Response Exercise

About 100 Soldiers and Airmen from the NDNG's Domestic Operations Section, the 119th Wing, and the 131st Military Police Battalion participated, exercising command and control for military response resources during the exercise.

Members of N. D. National Guard's Domestic Operations Section J1 conducted state active-duty administrative procedures with the 131st Military Police Battalion in a new communications and mobilization trailer during an exercise at Raymond J. Bohn armory in Bismarck, June 8.

This exercise included response planning, operational coordination, information, and intelligence gathering, as well as public information and warnings.

These types of exercises are reoccurring events and usually concentrate on flooding, wildland fires, and blizzard response.

New Warrant Officer

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Greicar, 141st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, is pinned by his father to the rank of warrant officer during a ceremony at Fraine Barracks, Bismarck, N.D. June 5.

Warrant officers are subject matter experts in their field, making up less than three percent of the Army. Commissioned officers rely on warrant officers’ technical expertise to complete missions and regard them as trusted and esteemed colleagues.

141st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade

Annual Training

The 141st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (MEB) hosted a small competition during its annual training in Fargo, June 2. The event helped select the top Soldier and noncommissioned officer to represent the 141 MEB at the 2025 Best Warrior Competition in August. Friday 5K in Bismarck
