The Blast City Manager Dennis' Weekly Update | August 13, 2025

Did you know that once a month, on the 3rd Tuesday from 11-11:30 AM, the Brisbane Library offers a Bilingual Storytime, featuring Spanish and English stories and music? This past Tuesday, they had a special guest, Malinky Music, which brought joyful, bilingual Spanish-English music and movement for young children (ages 0-5) and their families. Ofc. Quan, who was hanging out in the back and happens to speak Spanish, was asked to come up and participate. It was good fun for all!

Planned Electrical Shutdown at Library: Friday, 8 AM - Noon

The Brisbane Library is scheduled to be without power due to facilities work on Friday, August 15, through the early afternoon. The library will remain open with limited services, including book, laptop, and hotspot checkouts. Please know some of their technology, such as public computers and printing, will not be accessible, but limited charging will still be available via portable power systems. Events will also take place as scheduled. You can also always find them online at smcl.org.
