I greet you in the love of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ amid the pain and challenges my beloved Venezuela is facing. I thank God for preserving the lives of my family and myself. The Lord has been our strength and refuge during this time. I ask that you take a few minutes to join me in prayer for Venezuela.

Let's pray for Venezuela

1. Comfort and emotional strength for families who have lost loved ones 2. Repentance and a search for God on the part of the Venezuelan people 3. For those who feel fear and despair in the midst of this tragedy—may God grant them hope and peace 4. For the families of the missing—may they find their loved ones alive or have the opportunity to say goodbye and give them a dignified burial 5. Wisdom and guidance for the rescue teams 6. Comfort for all those who have lost everything—may they find refuge and provision in the midst of the crisis 7. May the church be a center of hope and support in the midst of this crisis; may God use His children to be a light in the midst of these difficulties. 8. For transparency in the management of financial resources, effective strategies to assist those affected, and good coordination among public and private organizations, both domestic and international 9. Physical and emotional strength for the rescue teams, as well as wisdom and guidance 10.Protection for the children who have been orphaned, that they may be delivered from evil

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)

In the midst of this difficult situation, God has given me the opportunity to weep with those who weep, to embrace those who need it, to share the Gospel, to visit hospitals and shelters, and to offer words of encouragement.

KP Launch Team

Work meetings with team leaders are continuing with the aim of further exploring the team’s vision, purpose, and work. This process seeks to strengthen alignment and preparation ahead of my arrival in Korea, so that I can integrate more effectively and contribute more significantly to fulfilling the mission.

Meeting with PIMEX

Every month, I meet with the leader in charge of sending workers into the field, who monitors and supports my progress on various issues. Among these is having everything ready—including the budget—by the time I leave.

On July 2, I received my visa approval. The next step was to take the approval document to the embassy to have the visa issued. Unfortunately, the building where the embassy is located was damaged by the earthquake, so they are not open for business. However, I contacted them via their emergency number, and they provided me with an email address to send the visa approval code to. Please pray that they will be able to issue my visa before July 15, which is my departure date for Europe. From Europe, I must travel to Korea, as I need to arrive there before August 18. (May God’s perfect will be done.)

Thank You God

Thank God for protecting my family’s lives and my own during the two powerful earthquakes. Thank God for His faithfulness, provision, and goodness. I thank God for your life; thank you for being there and for being part of the team. Thank you for your words of encouragement and for your generosity. Thank God for my neighbor (Lucy), who accepted Christ after the earthquake, and ever since then I’ve been going to her house every day to read the Word and pray together. Thank God for the visa approval.

Prayer Requests

  • May I love our Lord more deeply, with all my heart. May I love His Word, long for His presence, and experience His joy. And may I be a faithful steward for His glory.
  • Let us pray for perseverance, patience, and faith.
  • Wisdom for continuing to learn Korean.
  • Humility, submission, and complete dependence on God.
  • Wisdom to complete all remaining Bible courses.
  • I pray to God that they will issue my visa before July 15 so that I can travel to Europe and then on to Korea. I must be in Korea by August 18.
  • May God grant me wisdom, strategy, and ideas so that I can secure the funding I need to meet my budget.
