A peek into the Olive Room

We have been blessed with beautiful sunny skies for our two outdoor special events.  Starting with our gardening day.  Thank you, families, for all of the flowers! And a special Thank you, for the parents who got their hands dirty helping us plant. If I missed taking your picture, I apologize multitasking mishap.

Farm Trip:  No kidding around, we had a MOO-velous time visiting the farm! Mrs. Bhilare took these wonderful pictures.

Science Caterpillar update: Our caterpillars have changed into their chrysalis stage.  A butterfly’s life cycle is made up of four parts, egg, larva (caterpillars), pupa (chrysalis) and adult.  Many insects undergo a metamorphosis: egg – larva – pupa – adult.

An Ant life cycle

Mammals, the last vertebrate group has been introduced. Mammals have a backbone, feed their babies milk, take care of their young, are warm blooded, have hair or fur, grow inside their mothers.

Art: Water color painting.

Geography: We traveled on to study the continent of Africa. Africa is the second largest continent and hottest, the longest river in the world, the Nile, flows through Africa.  Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano located in Tanzania. It is famous for being the highest mountain in Africa.  The Sahara Desert is the world's largest hot-dry desert and is nearly the size of the United States.

In Africa, you will find some of the largest mammals on this planet. Among them are the largest land mammal, the African elephant, the tallest mammal, the giraffe, and the fastest mammal, the cheetah, which can run with speeds up to 70 miles/hour and the gorilla is the world's largest primate!

Birthday Shout-outs:   We have three upcoming Birthday celebrations.  Lots of Happy wishes to Finnegan (he is having a belated celebration), Riaan and Aarav!  We enjoy celebrating you!
