Welcome to OneMillionChildren 2023 Year in Review.
This Newsletter highlights the incredible milestones, stories, and updates from the past year, giving the OMC Community an opportunity to reflect on God's work and share these moments with friends and family.
Christmas Celebration
Every Christmas, we bring joy to selected children's ministry sites with special celebrations.
In the heart of the African bush, where Christmas is not celebrated like in America, our children dress their finest dresses, creating a day filled with excitement and unforgettable moments.
Your support makes these festive celebrations possible!
OMC Graduates
Taking a moment to offer heartfelt gratitude to God for His work through OMC since our inception.
Since 2016, we've proudly graduated 148 Zambians from our Hope for Zambia Bible School, and the majority of these graduates continue to serve actively in ministry.
Your support has been instrumental in shaping lives and spreading hope.
Thank you for being part of this impactful journey!
Launch of 8th Hope for Zambia Bible School
In March, our Zambian partner, Tom Siachitema, met with all of our zone managers in preparation for the launch of our eighth Hope for Zambia Bible School.
In a proactive step toward the new launch, Tom aimed for an accurate student count, emphasizing commitment to God's call.
As our graduates' impact expands, so does the demand, requiring ministry partners to navigate the growth of their impactful ministries.
Vital Role of Zone Managers
Although not the best map, this gives you a glimpse of the importance of our Zone Managers in the southern province of Zambia.
Livingstone, marked at the bottom left, is a central point.
The two paved roads extending from Livingstone are the only paved roads in the southern province!
Our Zone Managers play a crucial role in overseeing vast areas, dotted with remote villages and Hope for Children ministry sites.
Their passion and vision drive the impactful purpose of OMC!
Start of 2023 Bible School
Our 2023 Bible School officially started on March 21st with 40 students!
In a unique approach, this year, we had no pastors in attendance as we are strove to train those who were not already in ministry.
We had two students attend from the northern province of Zambia.
This class has completed their first three weeks and they demonstrated an excitement in learning the word of God!
Pastor Simon Inspires 2023 Bible School Students
Pastor Simon, a 2019 graduate, ministered and guided students on establishing a solid foundation for ministry.
Witnessing a powerful moment, he led them in consecrating their lives to the service of God.
Through Zoom, Pastor Larry delved into the topic of Complete Salvation and the Baptism with the Holy Spirit.
Our vision for sustainability shone as other graduates joined in, contributing their teachings to develop a strong team of Zambian teachers.
Special Night of Baptism
On the concluding night of their initial three weeks, a sacred tradition unfolds—a special time for students to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
In the potent presence of God, the Father's touch graced each student once again.
Your faithful partnership enable us to pour into these students, empowering them to carry the light to their nation.
Thank you for your support!
Testimony: Bright Simuzingili
Meet Bright Simuzingili from Nkandanzovu, sharing his awe-inspiring testimonies.
At a crucial moment, he prayed for a pregnant woman far past her due date.
With divine intervention, her labor began, and she safely delivered at the clinic, sparing the need for hospital transportation.
Bright's prayers also brought healing to a very sick child who couldn't eat or drink.
Before the doctor arrived, the child, touched by his prayers, asked for something to eat.
Testimony: Melinda Muleya
Meet Melinda Muleya from Kalonda, a vessel of compassion and faith.
Faced with a child crying incessantly, whose parents sought help from a witch doctor in vain, Melinda's prayers brought immediate peace. The child stopped crying.
Additionally, she prayed for a local woman plagued by severe headaches, and through God's grace, instant healing unfolded.
Testimony: Marvelous Munachoonga
Meet Marvelous Munachoonga, from Moonde.
He embarked on a transformative journey at school.
Uncertain about his salvation initially, he surrendered his life to Jesus in the first week.
Returning home for a break, he embraced his newfound faith wholeheartedly.
He went from house to house, sharing the gospel and 27 people gave their lives to Jesus!
Meet Our "Well Doctor"
Meet Joshua Siakuba, our Well Repair Leader.
He's not just skilled but a family man with four children.
Trained by UNICEF in 1996, he's been dedicated to well repair ever since.
We crossed paths with Joshua in 2015, and everyone fondly calls him the "well doctor."
His passion for providing clean water runs deep, and since our partnership began, he's successfully repaired a remarkable 600 wells!
Well Repair Apostle
Beyond being a skilled well repair leader, Joshua is a devoted follower of Jesus, carrying an anointing for well restoration.
His selfless dedication shines through as he stays in the field until every repair part is used.
This year, in the first trip alone, the team, under his guidance, successfully repaired 38 wells!
Not just a repair expert, Joshua is also an exceptional teacher and mentor.
Taking the time to train local leaders, he ensures that communities can care for their wells.
His influence extends to mentoring a young man, Gabriel, passing on the trade.
A Multifaceted Hero
Not only a skilled well repair leader, but Joshua is also a dedicated farmer and a generous provider of transport, especially for those needing to reach the hospital 40 miles away.
His leadership has transformed the team into a respected ministry, even gaining recognition in the highest places of the Zambian government.
When Joshua and the team step onto the scene, you can trust the job will be done right.
Each well repair, costing about $800.00 US, becomes a reality through your partnership, ensuring clean water reaches thousands in need.
Thank you for making this transformative work possible!
A Testament to Impactful Training
Meet Pastor Lwisha Chiseye, a graduate from our 2021 Bible school.
Before joining, his church boasted around 70 members.
Post-graduation, fueled by the Word, he ventured into surrounding villages, preaching the gospel.
Today, the church witnesses a remarkable growth, with an average attendance of 200!
Your support isn't just changing lives; it's transforming communities.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey!
Overflowing Blessings
The impact of the Word knows no bounds!
Pastor Lwisha Chiseye's church, once contained within walls, now spills outside during Sunday services.
The hunger for the reality of God among the Zambian people is evident in the remarkable growth, necessitating gatherings in the open air.
This is the transformative power of the Word ministered in the Holy Spirit's anointing.
Pastor Chiseye's Church Expansion
Pastor Chiseye and his congregation, fueled by a vision of growth, have embarked on a project to build a new church building. The current expansion and the establishment of another church in a nearby village stand as testaments to the abundant harvest. Your faithful support not only empowers leaders like Pastor Chiseye but also contributes to the fulfillment of God's calling. "Then He said to His disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Matthew 9:37-38
