1642: English Civil War started.
1654: Manor of Shelsley Walsh acquired by Thomas Foley.
1660: Restoration of the Monarchy.
1700: Approximate age of timber frame and wooden mill workings.
1776: American Declaration of Independence.
1800: Estimated date of brick building.
1815: Battle of Waterloo.
1851: Lord Ward purchased iron water wheel. Population of Shelsley Walsh 53.
