Shkodër is located northwest of Albania on the border with Montenegro.
We set out on a trip to this town, located two hours from the capital.
We were welcomed by a South Korean missionary couple who have been serving there for many years.
We were greeted with much love and were offered a delicious meal.
I shared my testimony, and the other missionary shared the word. The activity was directed exclusively to women.
The church was ready to receive 90 women. Many of them came from far away to attend the service.
It was amazing. God allowed me to share my life testimony and how He not only transformed me, but also the life of my father, who was an alcoholic.
Many women identified with me, as they have lived in their homes with a strong alcohol problem from their husbands.
In addition, the word of God, which the missionary shared, was also a refreshment for their lives.
It was a wonderful time.
Mother's Day
In Albania, Mother's Day is celebrated on March 8, coinciding with International Women's Day.
On this date, a special activity was organized at the church, where the mothers of the young leaders and the children who attend regularly were invited. In total, about 30 people participated. During the event, we shared the Word of God, prayed and worshiped together. Afterwards, we enjoyed a time of fellowship that included food and traditional Albanian dances.
During the dances, several women came up to me and were surprised at how quickly I learned the steps of the traditional Albanian dances. Click on the following link to enjoy and laugh a little about how I learned the traditional dance steps.
Conferencia "Encuentro y Amor"
In the city of Durrës, Albania, a conference entitled “Encounter of Love” was held for church leaders. These leaders, mostly young people around 20 years old, are the fruit of the work that the church has done since they were children, starting their participation at the age of 8 or 9 years old. During the conference, each young person shared their testimony, highlighting that many come from families with a Muslim background. Despite this, they have remained steadfast in their Christian faith and are now part of the church leadership. Their responsibilities include organizing youth activities, coordinating prayer times, and ministering in the worship team, etc.
Bunk' Art 1
Albania is known for its huge number of bunkers built during the communist dictatorship (1944-1985).
Visit the Bunk'Art 1 located in Tirana. This Bunk was converted into museums about the communist history of Albania. According to the guide he told us that the design was exclusive to NK.
I am deeply grateful to God for having given me the opportunity to live, for three months, the experience of a ministry work with children in Albania.
One of the most impressive aspects of this ministry is that ten of the church leaders are young people between the ages of 15 and 20, who came to know Christ through the children's ministry, which is the main focus of the church. In other words, these young people came to the feet of Christ when they were between 7 and 9 years old, and thanks to a beautiful process of discipleship, today they are part of the leadership of the church.
Something that touched me deeply was to see the love and dedication with which they work with each child. Not only do they disciple them weekly, but they also invest time in teaching and instructing them in a musical instrument and helping them with their homework. It is a living testimony to the transforming impact of the gospel in their lives.
Time to say goodbye.
On March 18, I left Albania for France. During the flight, I had the privilege of flying over the Swiss Alps. It was an indescribable experience to behold God's marvelous creation: the brightness of the sun contrasting with the snow-capped mountains was simply spectacular.
I thank you for your prayers for my return. God watched over my departure and my arrival.
Gratitude to God for each prayer answered according to His perfect will and timing.
Thank you God for my stay in Albania, thank you for using me in a special way and why through your Holy Spirit you used me as an instrument of encouragement and strength for the brothers of the Canaan church.
Thank God because He kept my departure and entry from Albania to France.
Thank God for approving the visa to attend the security training in Armenia.
How to continue to remember me in prayer?
May she love our Lord more, with surrender. Love His Word, long for His presence, experience His joy, and be a good steward for His glory.
Pray for perseverance, patience, and faith.
Wisdom to continue learning the Korean language.
Alexas and I will be leaving on April 12 for-Armenia, God take control of everything and let us understand and enjoy the training.
Although there is still a long way to go, I press on to the finish line with faith and a team of people like you accompanying me in this race.
I continue in the preparation as a candidate to be an official member of the missionary agency Pioneer, for which I must fulfill several phases, one of which I have fulfilled, but others are still missing.
I remind you that the objective of being a member of a missionary agency is to be part of the work team, otherwise they would not be able to integrate me into the team.
I still have to fulfill the following requirements for which I ask you to support me in prayer to continue to advance
1) Complete PIMEX Community Training in Chihuahua (Pending).
2) Bible/Theology Studies (I am in the process of admission, time frame approximately 1 year)
3) Complete all Bible, English, psychological, psychometric and other evaluations provided by the agency.
Prayer be directed that
1) God to provide finances
2) God to give me wisdom to complete my studies.
3) Humility, submission and absolute dependence on God.
