Women in Ag

The Franklin County Women in Ag (WIA) network met the dynamic team that operates the Conetoe Family Life Farm and Training Center in rural Conetoe on September 20th. The farm manager in charge of the Food Hub and vegetable growing operation is Martina Lopez along with newly hired Executive Director, Evelyn Powell, who oversees the entire operation.

The WIA network is planning a series of educational meetings and trainings starting in October through next spring, working with the NC Agromedicine Institute from ECU. To learn more about the Franklin County WIA, contact Martha Mobley, Extension Agent, in Franklin County, 919-496-3344.
