This month I glorify God for his wonders.
I started my second level in Korean, the teacher who corresponds to me in this level has been my teacher before so I know her dynamics and strategy. In this level I am learning new grammar and vocabulary. I keep asking God to fill me with patience, diligence and wisdom to continue to deepen my knowledge of the language.
Restore
It was a wonderful time to see the global church represented in 19 nationalities along with the Korean church worshipping and praying for the restoration of the Peninsula. Three of the workers shared their testimonies, two of whom have had the opportunity to go into NK. Their testimonies impacted the lives of those who think that in NK it is impossible to announce the good news of salvation. For man it is impossible, but for God everything is impossible.
Activities
Another activity was also held with about 30 people from various churches in Korea, including Seoul, Busan, etc. For the activity it was necessary to clean the place of the event and prepare it for the moment.
The first part of the activity was guided by an interview with one of the directors of Fourth River who has had the experience of being in NK for 10 years. Then we were divided into groups. I was with a group that included two young people from the Korean diaspora, who were born in Korea, but had moved to other countries, including New Zealand, when they were young. God has also thought of the diaspora and has placed in their hearts the desire to bless NK.
These two young Koreans, but of another nationality, have been able to enter NK and have made an excellent documentary presented in English, Portuguese and Russian, which will soon be in Spanish, as I promised to help them translate the documentary.
For those who would like to see it in Portuguese or English here is the link
This reference verse says that we should always pray and be joyful and give thanks to God.
I know that you have been supporting me since I started this long journey, you have been faithful not only by praying or contributing financially, but that like me you have believed that God has called me to this nation. So I ask you to continue accompanying me in this new stage that I must begin.
When I arrived at The Fourth River training centre I could see that those who had had NK experience had been sent by some missionary organisation including Pioneer.
If you remember in previous letters, specifically last year, I told you that I had started the process with Pioneer but in the end I did not continue the admission process because I had to do a training and my student visa did not allow me to leave Korea for more than 3 months, so I suspended the admission process.
Now, I have been officially informed that my visa here in Korea cannot be renewed, so the next step will be to continue with the admission process to become part of the Pioneer missionary organisation.
This month I contacted the organisation and am in the admission process. The headquarters of Pionero Latin America is in Mexico in the city of Chihuahua. So I have to do a training that starts on the 17th of July online, then travel in October for two weeks for the safety and security training, then continue the online training and next year it will be face-to-face training for 3 months. These dates are subject to change. In case the dates change we will be trying for another venue such as Brazil, Dominican Republic or if necessary we will try for pioneers in Asia. This will depend, but for now I have already started the process with Mexico. Join me in prayer that God will be guiding everything.
As a Venezuelan, one of the problems is to apply for a visa, since according to the report of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), 7.71 million Venezuelans left the country by August 2023, almost 8 million Venezuelans decided to leave the country due to political, social and economic problems. Therefore, this situation has led almost all Latin American countries to request visas for Venezuelans to enter their territories; Mexico does not escape from this request. The requirements for such a request are almost impossible to obtain.
The Mexican embassy says that if I have a US visa, I can enter Mexico without applying for a Mexican visa. This is the first option so I have already made the arrangements here in Korea, therefore, on July 2nd at 8am I have my interview appointment at the US embassy. Let's pray to God that if it is His will, He will open the doors to obtain this visa.
The second option is to return to Venezuela and apply for the visa from the Mexican embassy in Venezuela. Here the requirements are impossible, but there is an option to apply for the following visa: Visitor Tourist/Transit (multiple entries/stay for 10 years).
And the requirement is that I must be a frequent traveller: In case I apply for the visa by this option the only requirement they ask me is:
Copy of the corresponding pages of the valid passport containing three valid visas or entry stamps within one year, to countries that do not border the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
I have only one stamp so I must travel to two more countries before returning to Venezuela in order to be able to show my passport with entry stamps within one year to countries that do not border the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. This may be possible. I would only ask brothers and sisters who may be somewhere in Asia to host me for only 1 or 2 days in order to be able to have the migration stamp.
Once I have completed my training with Pioneer, I will be able to join the work team in any of the bases in China or other Asian countries or directly in the NK if the doors are already open.
This is the picture I present to you. Please continue to support me in prayer. I will be informing you how the whole process is going.
This race is not an easy one, but I am sure that the One who began the work in me will finish it. You who have been with me from the beginning are witnesses of how God has sustained me and been faithful. So let us continue to witness together the wonders of God and give thanks at all times.
My family and especially my parents are in good health.
Grateful for all that God allowed me to learn during this month, thank you for each of the activities He allowed me to have.
Thank you God that even though I cannot renew my Korean visa, I know that God continues to guide every step of my life.
Thank God that He answered one of our prayers for divine direction for my next steps.
How to keep remembering me in prayer?
1. For the interview on July 2nd. May God be before me and may His will be done as to whether or not the US visa is approved.
2. I will have to leave Korea before September 30, so I have to make several preparations, God help me and guide me in everything I have to do.
3. I finished Soongsil University on 8 June with a final exam on the theology of forgiveness. God grant me the wisdom to succeed.
4. My dad is unemployed, but God has been faithful and they have not lacked anything. Pray that my dad will be able to find a job because he loves to work and being at home is very hard for him.
5. God of strategies, direction, guidance, wisdom for possible bases to be established in some of these countries (China, Japan, Vietnam or Mongolia).
6. God open the doors for possible training in Mexico.
7. May I love our Lord more, with surrender. Love His Word, long for His presence, experience His joy, and be a good steward for His glory.
8. Wisdom to learn the Korean language and perfect English.
9. On the 7th, 14th and 15th of June we will be hosting Hallelujah Church and Ulsan Daejoung Church; we will be sharing with them our testimonies and encouraging them to be part of what God is doing in the peninsula, I ask you to support me by praying that each testimony will glorify the name of God. May the Holy Spirit use each participant
