Employer Testimonials
Hear from employers who have previously had Apprentices successfully trained and now working in industry.
"At Techedia, we are delighted to have Compete Apprentices with us."
"We know it could be their first taste of actually working in their chosen career, so have designed a fantastic, fully equipped training suite in our offices. Here, they work on live projects, in a real working environment, whilst supported by experienced facilitators.
Learners also benefit from the interaction with existing staff to gain key insight to what it’s really like working in the sector. Students learn so much at college and the facilities there are fantastic, but you can’t fully simulate the unexpected challenges and pressures that come with working in businesses like ours.
It’s a great way to broaden skills for the workplace whilst gaining actual work experience which can be used in future job applications. Should an applicant’s CV include an Apprenticeship like this, they quickly become an attractive prospect to any employer. We’re truly looking forward to welcoming and inspiring more Compete Apprentices on their journeys toward dream careers.”
"Working with Compete, gives learners invaluable experience of our industry"
"Apprenticeships are an essential step to successful employment. The skills and knowledge young people learn at college are invaluable, but being able to then apply them to a real life business is experience you just can’t buy!"
"We make sure all our learners get a real flavour of the job and indeed the industry as a whole, so that they are well prepared for full time employment, but at the same time, we ensure they are well trained, mentored and supported every step of the way. We know that happy, confident staff mean happy, satisfied customers!"
"When our students come to their end of their Apprenticeships and we believe they have what it takes, we are keen to hold on to their valuable skills and great attitude and have them as permanent members of the team. Some choose to stay and others feel it is time to stretch their wings, but either way, as an employer we know that having that valuable real work experience in the bag makes them a great asset to any company!"
“The range of qualifications Compete offers, is ideal for us as an employer and means there is a pool of enthusiastic learners wanting to gain experience."
"I believe that the experience they get, doing real work in industry is invaluable. It’s important that they are learning the technical skills and theory in a controlled environment in college but the challenges that the real world throws at you is not as easy to simulate. Apprentices working with us often face unexpected challenges and this is great for developing quick-thinking and good problem-solving skills."
"Although we are based in Southport, Apprentices get to experience working with clients all over the UK, meeting people from all different backgrounds and industries as we provide our services. It really broadens their horizons and by shadowing our experienced team, we can mould both their practical and customer service skills to fit our requirements."
