About Me

I hold an Associate of Science, Business Administration, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Business Management at IU. My current roles are Legal Assistant & Paralegal Intern at Sharpnack Bigley, a local law firm in Columbus, IN, and Student Navigator for IU Columbus. I'm open to furthering my knowledge of different types of businesses, as well as different roles, including forward-facing opportunities not limited to management, administration, accounting & bookkeeping. I plan to continue learning hands-on strategies for AI streamlining operations while maintaining a human-forward approach. A specific interest in volunteer opportunities to improve my community with applicable fields of interest, particular interests including, but not limited to, AI implementation, mental health advocacy, journalism, and social media management, as well as environmental protection. While I wish I could claim a green thumb, I sadly am still attempting to manage thriving plants. Growth is one major theme in my projects, learning, & life experiances.

Team Building & Hobbies

Team building can come from many avenues. While growing up, I never thought I would manage anything more than my two brothers, but as it turns out, I've managed many groups. Beginning at my first job at McDonald's, developing into a Department Manager, and through many experiences, such as learning sports and planning group activities, hosting game nights, and even more career experiences.

Monthly Bookclub Activity

Last year, I participated in a book club. We hosted a monthly meeting involving activities. In the spring, we painted flower pots and planted some springtime joy. I'm a bit of a geek; mine is the pink Hobbit house. We read 12 books last year, one each month. Since this event, I have taken on painting and drawing as a hobby. I have also gained 4 houseplants. I'm not the best, but it has been a great creative outlet. I also learned to crochet a little over a year ago. I'm currently working on my largest projects yet: 2 Blankets!

Learning to Golf

While most kids grew up playing sports, I was not interested. I have found myself learning how to golf. This was one of my first driver swings, YIKES. Learning to be patient with yourself is a virtue.

Experiencing the Wonders Among Us

I have been to a handful of National Parks. In this image, I am visiting the Giant Sequoias that grow only on the West Coast.

My love for Mother Nature is rooted in a deep, foundational family effort to enjoy the eternal return of life around us. This past fall, I volunteered for a Weed Wrangle removing invasive species such as honeysuckle in Johnson County Park. Later in this page, a project surrounding my interest in bettering conservative efforts.

Summer 2026 - Final Course

This course allows for the backend operations of a business and the meeting reports to come together - allowing us to understand the correlation between our decisions and how this can affect stakeholders.

Gen AI Certification

First Assignment: Complete an Entire AI course designed around understanding AI applications.
Supplemental Books:

Understanding the work I'm completing and correlating it to the capabilities and best conditions to utilize the tool known as generative AI. To summarize the combination of this class, combined with Organizational Change, because the classes go hand in hand, combines ethical understanding and knowledge with AI, and prepares for long-term navigation of the rapidly transforming environment of the workplace.

Managing AI in the Workplace
Integrating AI to create Synergy

To optimize my workflow and enhance my professional development, I leverage Google’s language models to streamline routine tasks. For instance, I generate audio summaries of complex documentation to facilitate continuous learning during my commute. The linked prompt illustrates my approach to prompt engineering: by providing granular instructions and grounding the AI in specific, verified sources, I ensure the output is accurate, insightful, and free from the hallucinations or citation errors often found in unguided AI generations. HAH, Human, AI, Human. Prompt, generate, and review diligently, checking sources and possible errors stemming from neglectful prompting.

AI Generated Presentation - Research Topic: AI Augmented Work and it's Ethicalities.

When understanding AI's role as a tool, you must begin with what any good manager should start with, by examining its strengths, as well as, its weaknesses. In the workplace environment, there are still going to be auditors and judges, those who are able to keep the cultural understandings and social norms at the forefront of conversation. While utilizing AI to its full competency will take meticulous editing and review, it helps remove some of the grunt work away from the human workload. Though as it stands, AI does it's best work in tandem with humans.

Marketing, Website Building, & Data Modeling

Senior Capstone Project - Blazing Stars: creating a consolidating website that enables volunteers to sign up and highlights the group's achievements. Analyzing and modeling site traffic and local knowledge about conservation volunteer groups in Columbus, IN. My group consists of myself, Dewayne Fillmore & Michal Greenlee.

Creating time can be hard between full-time Student while holding a full-time position. Trying to optimize my time is one of my strong suits. To gain the most clarity and insights on topics I study, I try to apply these across multiple fields of Study. Utilizing my knowledge from researching Samsung, I've been able to leverage this in my digital marketing class project. Currently, I'm using my CAPSTONE project insights to create a research study. Conservation has less visibility than it deserves, paired with my website-building knowledge, my conservation-invested brother, and my marketing research insights. I plan to improve the campus's knowledge on how they can help in a monumental way.

Current Role:

My time at Sharpnack Bigley has been a foundational chapter in my professional development, offering a unique vantage point at the intersection of commerce and the law. Navigating the complex landscapes of business, estate, and family law with a fresh perspective required rapid adaptation, sharp analytical thinking, and rigorous time management to balance demanding academic pursuits with active firm operations. Working within a dynamic, close-knit firm environment has allowed me to gain hands-on, cross-functional insight into how legal strategies directly safeguard family legacies and corporate health. I am deeply grateful for the mentorship that guided my journey, and I remain committed to bringing this same relentless drive for continuous learning, operational excellence, and professional growth to every future endeavor.

Going above and beyond for the sake of team success. Pictured was a deep cleaning being performed for a successful bar close, getting access to those hard-to-reach places. I'd say reaching into those places helps you to discover growth in yourself. Okay, maybe not so much reaching in the corner of the bar rail, but being a team player is a key to success.
