Lit Cookbook Club Published on National Library Resource

Creative Literacy Program Featured on Programming Librarian Website

Otselic Valley librarian Katy Charles has earned national recognition for her innovative library programming.

Mrs. Charles' program, Lit Cookbook Club: Exploring Literature Through Food and Culture, was recently featured on the American Library Association's Programming Librarian website, a national resource that showcases creative and engaging library programs from across the country. The program encourages participants to explore literature through food and culture, creating connections between reading, learning, and shared experiences. By combining books, recipes, and cultural exploration, the program offers a unique approach to literacy and community engagement. Having the program published on the Programming Librarian website allows librarians across the nation to learn from and potentially adapt the idea for their own communities, extending the impact of Mrs. Charles' work far beyond Otselic Valley.

Congratulations to Mrs. Charles on this outstanding achievement and for representing Otselic Valley through her creativity, dedication, and commitment to fostering a love of learning.
