Course Spotlight

Interested in Business? We suggest taking these courses!

BSAD 1010, FIN 1010, ECON 1010, ECON 1100, MIS 1100, and ECON 1740

These courses are the best if you're exploring business areas such as Business Administration, Finance, Management, and Economics. For students considering a minor in Business Administration for Non-Business Majors, BSAD 1010 is the perfect class for you.

These courses can give you career-ready skills such as critical thinking, financial literacy for personal or business use, as well as an understanding of data and how to use it.

While some, like BSAD 1010 and FIN 1010, may only count as elective credit, others like ECON 1010, ECON 1100, and MIS 1100 can fulfill your Social Science (SS) general education requirements. ECON 1740 fulfills your American Institutions (AI) requirement and helps students understand how the economy impacts the world on a national scale. They offer a great way to "cross-fit for your mind” through General Education and Exploration.

Academic Advisors Spotlight

Rachel Madden, Goddard School of Business & Economics

Rachel Madden, Academic Advisor for the Goddard School of Business & Economics

I'm an avid reader—you'll almost always find me with a book in hand. I love spending time with my family and friends. I live with my adorable 20 lb. cat who I put in a Halloween costume every year. He hates this, but he does get compliments every year on how cute he looks. In my downtime, I enjoy knitting, crocheting, and watching tv.

Julie Larsen, Academic Advisor in General Studies & Exploratory Advising

I like reading, writing, and spending time with family. I can be found most often in a library or bookstore when I’m not at home or with friends. I speak Japanese and studied Japan for my degree. I love history, anthropology, English, and books about any of those things. If you ever want to hear a 1-2 hour rant about some obscure topic about Asian history, I am that person.

Need Electronics, Models, or other Study Supplies?

Did you know that you can check out more than books at the library? The Stewart Library has a wide variety of equipment and tools that you can check out for free as a student. From laptops, to hotspots, to cameras, to anatomical models! If you need something for class the Library might have it! Check out the possible items on the library website.
