#Adventure
Whizz, Pop, Bang!
Prep 2 enjoyed their first after school Science Club this week. They were fascinated to learn the science behind some common magic tricks and worked together to make a vinegar volcano that successfully erupted in the Stable Yard! Next week, they are hoping to master a card trick that will leave you stunned (and hopefully be able to explain the science behind it too!) If you would like to try a vinegar volcano at home, you can find the instructions from the link below.
En Guarde!
En Guarde! Prep 2 all had their first go at sword fencing this week when they had a lunchtime taster session with our coach Mr Bromley. They learnt the stance, how to move forwards and backwards, a thrust and a lunge before getting to duel with their friends. They all had a great time and have the opportunity to join the P2 fencing club which takes place every Friday lunchtime. They will start with foam swords for the first two terms, following a structured learning course as our next generation of fencers. In the summer they progress to plastic swords before graduating to full metal swords as they approach Prep 3. Please read the flyer that your child will have brought home today for more information.
Boarding
After a long summer break, it is so lovely to have the school buzzing with energy again. It has been great catching up with our boarders to find out what adventures that they have got up to over the break. We have also welcomed some new faces to the boarding house, bring our full and weekly boarder total close to half of the boarding house being full every day without flexi and ad hoc boarders.
