Students explore agriculture through hands-on lessons with Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Otselic Valley students continued their hands-on learning through Ag in the Classroom this April with an engaging embryology lesson presented through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County. Students explored the parts of a chicken egg and learned about the stages of chick development. Eggs were incubated right at Otselic Valley, giving students the opportunity to observe the process firsthand. Soon after the lesson, chicks began to hatch, allowing students to witness the life cycle from egg to chick. The experience gave students a closer look at animal development while connecting classroom learning to agriculture. Thank you to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County for continuing to provide meaningful learning experiences for our students.
