Colby-Sawyer Men’s Lacrosse

As a startup program in Spring 2026, we are proud to represent a college with nearly two centuries of history.

Founded in 1837, Colby-Sawyer College is a private liberal arts and sciences institution that offers an intimate, student-centered experience with approximately 800 undergraduates. With 19 majors, 27 minors, and robust merit-based aid opportunities, we empower students to pursue their passions on and off the field.

Located in the heart of New Hampshire’s breathtaking Lake Sunapee Region and set against 360-degree views of mountains, forests, and lakes, Colby-Sawyer provides a stunning backdrop for athletic and academic excellence. Our lacrosse program is built on teamwork, dedication, and the drive to create a legacy from the ground up.

Located in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee region of New Hampshire 90 minutes north of Boston, 60 minutes south of the White Mountains and 3.5 hours south of Montreal, Canada

Pape Lukk, Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

Pape Lukk became the inaugural Men's Lacrosse Coach of Colby-Sawyer Men's Team in January of 2025.

Lukk comes to Colby-Sawyer College after serving as the Associate Head Coach & Defensive Coordinator at Thomas College. He had previously served as the Defensive Coordinator at Colby College in Waterville, ME. Prior to Colby, he served as the Volunteer Assistant Coach at the University of Delaware. Lukk worked directly with programs Goaltenders, offensive personnel, scout man up unit, as well as coordinating the substitution box during competition. While at Delaware the Blue Hens won both the Colonial Athletic Association’s regular and tournament championship titles, in addition to a historic victory over the #2 seeded Georgetown Hoyas in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse tournament.

A 2015 graduate of Frostburg State University, Lukk graduated with his bachelor's degree in psychology. During his playing career, the Bobcats earned three Capital Athletic Conference tournament game appearances, culminating in a title game appearance in 2015. Frostburg State ranked as high as No. 15 in the USILA Division III national poll throughout his playing career.

Lukk his Wife Alyssa and their son reside in New Hampshire.

Sally Shaw Veitch Track & Field

Colby-Sawyer College's new turf field and track were dedicated on October 13, 2013 at a ceremony overlooking beautiful Mt. Kearsarge.

The multi-sport surface is called the Sally Shaw Veitch Track and Field.

In addition to the new turf field and track name, the area in which all of the competition surfaces are located was renamed the Kelsey Athletic Campus.

Lights have been added to Sally Shaw Vietch Track and Field in Summer of 2025.

Residence Halls

All full-time undergraduate students whose families are not local live on campus.

First-year students live in Best, Lawson and Colby Halls. All halls are co-ed.

Best Hall

Best Hall is a traditional-style residence hall that features large carpeted rooms with big closets. Students enjoy a spacious lounge by the entrance, perfect for socializing and studying.

Lawson Hall

Lawson Hall is a residence hall where students reside in single or double occupancy carpeted rooms within a suite, sharing a kitchenette, a common storage area, and single-stall bathrooms.

Colby Hall

Colby Hall is a smaller, traditional-style residence hall with hardwood floors and a close-knit community feel.

Student Learning Collaborative (SLC)

  • The SLC provides free, comprehensive academic support to all full-time Colby-Sawyer students.
  • Course Tutoring: Peer tutors are available for most first- and second-year courses, as well as select upper-level courses. Whether you need help grasping course concepts, preparing for exams, or developing class-specific study strategies, our tutors are here to support your learning.
  • Writing Support: From brainstorming to final edits, our peer and professional writing consultants are available to guide you through every stage of the writing process. Get help organizing your thoughts, crafting a clear thesis, or refining your writing for clarity and coherence. Our writing sessions offer constructive, supportive feedback to help you grow as a writer in any course.
  • Study Skills Coaching: Effective learning begins with strong study habits. Meet with peer or professional tutors to develop time management skills, learn note-taking strategies, improve reading comprehension, or prepare for exams. These sessions are tailored to your individual learning style and goals.
  • Group Learning Instructors (GLIs) are assigned to select courses known for high tutoring demand. GLIs attend class, stay up to date with the material, and lead weekly group study sessions that combine course content with practical study strategies.
  • At the SLC, we empower students to take ownership of their education. Our student-centered services align with Colby-Sawyer’s mission by promoting academic achievement and lifelong learning in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Internships at Colby-Sawyer are meaningful, hands-on experiences designed in partnership with faculty, staff, and industry professionals. These opportunities connect your academic work to real-world practice—locally, nationally, and internationally.

Every student is required to complete at least one internship before graduation, with many students completing two or more to deepen their experience and gain a competitive edge.

100% of the Class of 2022 are employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation

On average, nursing graduates achieved a 97% first-time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination, compared to 85% nationally

100% of Colby-Sawyer nursing graduates are offered jobs at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and surrounding hospitals and medical practices

Blue & White Prospect Day

  • Sunday October 18, 2026, Colby-Sawyer College Men’s Lacrosse Blue & White Prospect Day, for student-athletes in the Classes of 2027–2029. Held at the Kelsey Athletic Campus in New London, NH, the camp runs from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM and features skill instruction, positional training, campus tours, recruiting education, and live competition for a total cost of $164
