2026-2027 School year

The 2026–2027 school calendar has been approved and submitted to the Office of Catholic Schools. We know having key dates early helps everyone begin thinking about the rhythm of the coming year. A Year-at-a-Glance calendar will be shared soon, but we wanted to make sure you had the most important dates now. The first day of school for students will be August 12, 2026, and the last day will be May 28, 2027.

PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Dear Bluejay Family, In yesterday’s Pray40 episode on Hallow, Jeff Cavins interviewed Michael Iskander, who plays David in the series House of David. Their conversation reflected on a simple but powerful moment from Scripture:

“David selected five smooth stones from the wadi and put them in the pocket of his shepherd’s bag. With his sling in hand, he approached the Philistine.”— 1 Samuel 17:40

They discussed the fact that the Church equips us for spiritual battle with many powerful weapons and protections. Jeff asked Michael to imagine something beautiful: What would your five stones be? The Eucharist—the very presence of Christ and the source and summit of our faith? I know that is my first stone. Scripture? Prayer? Fasting? The Rosary? The list truly is endless. What a beautiful Lenten exercise this might be for our families. Around the dinner table or during family prayer, consider asking one another: What are our five stones this Lent? What spiritual weapons will help us face the challenges of our lives with faith and courage? Just as David did not approach Goliath empty-handed, we do not enter the spiritual battles of our lives without the help of the Lord. God equips us with everything we need. May this Lent be a time when we fill our shepherd’s bag well, trusting that the Lord will use even the smallest stones placed in His hands. Grace & Peace, Erin B. Henry Principal

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear?” – Psalm 27:1.
