About Me
I am an aspiring high school student taking graphic production who aims to learn and develop applicable skills in graphic production that will be useful to me as a consumer, enthusiast and eventually businessperson. I want to learn how to express a message or be persuasive through art and build aesthetic graphics.

Design Basics
Our objective for this project was to learn about using the elements of design to create a striking composition that would pull the viewers in.
First, I created 16 thumbnails for each of the following: line, shape, texture, and color.
Following the thumbnails, I selected three and created three roughs and used ink for them.
SB Pages
In this unit, we copied pages about the elements of design, the rules of composition, and the principles of design using a fine line pen and a ruler. Copying the words down instilled the concepts in our minds for use in future units.
Project Box Label Placard
Dr. Wrenchey was our first client and we had to meet the criteria for our name placards which would be placed in a box for labeling them for use.
We used font choice to communicate the intent of the piece and used folk art to make small drawings inside each letter and chose the font for readability and aesthetics.
Composition: SB and Physics covers
For this assignment, we had to create two collages to place on the covers of our sketchbook (SB) and physics journal. The task was to communicate an act of kindness through pieces of magazines.
Inktober
For this challenge, we had to draw one thumbnail every day of the month in October corresponding to the prompt of that day. The challenge is to practice inking.
Linear perspective
This assignment, like the sketchbook pages, is to teach us about linear perspective while also making us practice it.
We practiced the following: a title in perspective, one point, two point, and three point perspective.
Skull Drawing
This assignment was to practice shading through cross hatching and to practice copying one fourth of a drawing at a time. We learned how to draw through an upside down technique and learned about different pencil values.
Additive color GIF
The additive color GIF assignment was to teach students how primary colors combine to make secondary colors and how animating is possible in illustrator.
Silhouette keychain
This assignment focused on the workflow from taking pictures with a cell phone camera to using Photoshop and Illustrator and using tools to create a graphic that could be cut by a laser printer. We worked with paths and images and retouched photos.
Silhouette sticker
I used the same file from the silhouette keychain and removed the whole in it so it could be cut as a sticker for my water bottle.
Personal logo
To design our personal logo, we used the design process which included multiple iterations with feedback. I gained a lot of experience with Illustrator in this project.
For our personal logo final assessments, we started by pencilling 12 thumbnails with logo ideas.
We selected two thumbnails to explore further with the help of our classmates and drew them in detail and in color.
Finally, we picked one and recreated it in illustrator while also making a monochromatic version and making a mockup of the logo (I put my logo on a tee).
Branded 3D Cups
During the short 3D cups project, I learned to use Illustrator's 3D effect panel and played around with a lot of the settings. It was also my first experience creating mockups.
Informative Billboad
We used the Perspective tools of Adobe Illustrator for this project. We also learned how to use assets from other designers, like the United Nations. I was able to put my 2D billboards onto the project in perspective, as well as learn how to add effects to it.
Personal Logo Video
For this project, we used Adobe After Effects, a powerful video editing software to create mockups of our logo.
Physiology Animation
2 other teammates and I collaborated on this animation in Adobe Animate. We started by using our sketchbook to show the main scene and a general Storyboard of the animation, then chose one and implemented it for a group of biology students.
Infographic Poster
I relied extensively on the Graph tool, one of the most powerful and versatile features in Adobe Illustrator, to create my infographic. This tool enabled me to present complex data visually and clearly, enhancing the overall impact of my design. I thoroughly enjoyed the creative freedom of selecting my own topic and delving into data analysis, which allowed me to tailor the infographic to my specific interests and objectives. The process of transforming raw data into an engaging and informative visual representation was both challenging and rewarding, showcasing the immense potential of data-driven design.
Stem Startups
Our second experience designing for clients, this time we worked in partners. We designed for the prosthetic covers company Fashthetics and iterated over versions taking feedback from them. I used existing logo skills and learned the importance of font choice and taking feedback.
Freshman PBL
This project was easily my favorite project this year! While I was not the designer for my PBL (project based learning) team, I oversaw the tech aspect of things, writing code and using Arduino. Our project was based off the air quality sensor and informed users when their air quality was at unsafe levels using a buzzer but also had a LCD display to show live data and used a ESP8266 based D1 Mini to create a website that showed data.
