Biography
I am a Professor at the Faculty of Health, Science, Social Care and Education at Kingston University London, United Kingdom. I hold a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, USA. I am also Visiting Professor at Kristianstad University in Sweden, Adjunct Professor at Tung Wah College in Hong Kong, and Academic Researcher at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust in the United Kingdom. My research focuses on education, professional development, and wellbeing of health and social care students and professionals. In 2018, I founded the Healthcare Educational Research and Evaluation research network, known as HERE. We publish monthly newsletters, meet every six weeks, and organise two hybrid conferences per year. Please email me if you would like to join this international multidisciplinary network. I have over two decades of teaching experience, which includes blended-learning teaching, developing and leading modules, supervising postgraduate students, and mentoring junior academics and researchers, all for which I have received awards. I have over 2 decades of teaching experience in Belgium, the USA and the UK, which includes blended-learning teaching, developing and leading on modules, supervising MSc, EdD and PhD students, and mentoring junior academics. Currently, I teach on the Applied Research Methods, the Improvement and Implementation Science, and the Capstone modules on the Advanced Clinical Practice and Healthcare Practice MSc courses at Kingston University London. I have supervised six PhD students through completion. Currently, I am supervising six PhD students, three of which have upgraded to PhD Researcher Status and the remaining three are in Writing Up Status.
