About Mrs. Kryszak: This is my 3rd year teaching 6th grade music at Crone and Scullen, and my 1st teaching Study Skills at Scullen. Previously I taught orchestra for 15 years at Granger here in 204 and spent 6 years home with my children and subbing occasionally. My husband and I have two sons (8th and 6th grade) and live in Plainfield.
Homework and Grading: A great majority of our work is done in class. If you are not in class for any reason please look on Google Classroom. You will mainly be responsible for keeping up to date with our Listening Logs once we start those.
Engagement credit will be earned each day. Engaged students are on task and prepared for class. Extra credit is earned daily through participation in class discussions.
A few small assessments will take place throughout the quarter, which will include our rhythm composition, treble clef quiz, and check-ins on our in class instruments. Assessments are meant to be stress-free and a fun opportunity to show what we have learned.
