On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the Navari Family Center for Digital Scholarship held an open house to celebrate the new Immersive Technologies Lab (ITL). Members of the campus community were invited to enjoy refreshments, learn about the lab, and immerse themselves in extended reality projects, including virtual, mixed and augmented reality. The ITL, which will serve as the front door for the extended reality (XR) ecosystem at Notre Dame, was made possible by a generous gift from Thomas '82 and Julie Carey.
