3. Providing Clean Water: 89 Wells Repaired

Reflection

As the new year began, we looked forward to God continuing to pour out His Spirit on this ministry.

Since 2016, we’ve followed the strategy He gave us, yielding remarkable fruit.

This past year, we reached 15,000 children weekly through 165 Hope for Children ministry sites.

Celebrating New Graduates & New Ministry Milestones

We celebrated the graduation of 37 students from our Hope for Zambia Bible School, bringing the total number of graduates to 180 since 2016.

These men and women have been instrumental in spreading the gospel to countless children and adults.

This year also featured three special conferences: a pastors' conference, a children's conference, and our inaugural women's conference.

Two graduates even launched a church at the Bible school, which continues to grow.

Providing Clean Water: 89 Wells Repaired

Our well repair team repaired 89 wells, providing clean water to thousands of families.

Emergency repairs were completed for several schools and medical clinics.

Your faithful support in 2023 made this possible.

1. Meet Edgar

2. Inspiring Future Leaders through Obedience

3. Facing Drought

Meet Edgar

Edgar, a Bible school graduate from Malala, exemplified God's transformative power.

Once a student in our children’s ministry, he answered God’s call and, along with another graduate, planted a church at our Livingstone school.

Edgar’s story represents the importance of discipleship.

His growth in the Word of God sharpened his sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

He followed God’s lead in starting the church.

Inspiring Future Leaders through Obedience

The local church exists to disciple believers, enabling them to pursue God’s call.

Edgar’s obedience is inspiring many young people to do the same.

Thank you for enabling us to train and disciple future leaders like him.

Facing Drought

Severe drought gripped Zambia’s Southern Province, threatening the primary food source, Nashima.

OMC doesn’t provide food but addresses the water crisis through well repairs.

Droughts cause water tables to drop, requiring extensive well adjustments.

Rising costs pushed average repair expenses above $1,000, leaving us with a budget shortfall of $20,000. This may limit us to 40-45 well repairs instead of 100.

The impact of the drought is most severe on children.

Your contributions can help us repair wells, ensuring access to safe water.

1. Welcoming Our Ninth Bible School Class

2. Equipping Students for Ministry

Welcoming Our Ninth Bible School Class

We welcomed our ninth Bible school class, with students traveling from across Zambia, including a two-day bus ride from the Northern Province.

Among them was a young woman who began her journey in our children’s ministry and is now pursuing God’s call.

Equipping Students for Ministry

Over 15 weeks, students deepened their understanding of God’s Word and prepared to fulfill their callings.

Many will minister in their villages, while others will establish new ministries.

Your support covers all costs, allowing them to focus fully on their training. Thank you!

1. Priscilla: A Fruit of Discipleship

2. Humphley: A Vision for Northern Zambia

3. Albert: Leading with Passion & Purpose

Priscilla: A Fruit of Discipleship

Priscilla Munyansu, 19, from Zimba, exemplifies our discipleship model.

She attended one of our first children’s ministry sites at 11 and fulfilled her long-time dream of joining our Bible school after completing high school.

Humphley: A Vision for Northern Zambia

Humphley Kangwa, 22, from Mukushi, is passionate about children’s ministry and could play a key role in expanding to Zambia’s Northern Province.

Albert: Leading with Passion & Purpose

Albert Mutale, also from the Northern Province, is a businessman and a strong leader.

His passion for ministry positions him to help manage our northern and central Zambia expansions.

June 2024

1. Pastor Buumba

2. Brave and Coward

Pastor Buumba

Pastor Buumba, who leads Omba Church in the Chikanta chiefdom, joined our school after hearing about it from a graduate, Pastor Mweembe.

He also served as our interpreter and sent four students to the school, who became a blessing to his ministry.

His church made a significant impact by proclaiming truth in a region surrounded by false religions.

Brave and Coward

Among Pastor Buumba's congregation were twins, Brave and Coward, the first to attend our school.

Despite their names, both were courageous and dedicated to following God’s will.

They began planting a church in Mikata and used their school breaks to build relationships there.

Their journey exemplified the power of discipleship and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Your support made their training and outreach possible!

1. Expeditions of Hope: Sharing the Gospel in Remote Villages

Expeditions of Hope: Sharing the Gospel in Remote Villages

Vehicle maintenance delayed our students’ expeditions this year, but they completed three outreach sessions during their final three weeks.

They shared the gospel wherever opportunities arose—whether with children on dirt roads, individual families, or larger organized meetings.

Many outreach events included night gatherings where people experienced salvation, healing, and deliverance.

These efforts brought hope to those in need, and we deeply appreciated your partnership in making it all possible.

August 2024

1. Ninth Class Graduation

Ninth Class Graduation

We celebrated the graduation of our ninth Bible school class in July.

This passionate group included leaders like a senior headman and the wife of a council chairman from Chepepo, as well as students from Zambia’s Northern Province.

The graduation ceremony saw an unprecedented turnout of about 280 family members, requiring us to move it outdoors.

Watching families celebrate as graduates received their diplomas was truly heartwarming.

Each graduate was prayed over and released into God’s calling.

Some expressed a desire to minister in other countries.

It was inspiring to witness God’s perfect plan unfolding in their lives.

1. Monthly Revivals Brought Hope to Ministry Sites

Monthly Revivals Brought Hope to Ministry Sites

This year, we shifted from annual Christmas revival meetings to monthly sessions to accommodate the growth of our children’s ministry sites.

A team of graduates began conducting three-day revivals each month, targeting children and ministering to site leaders.

In the first revival, 347 children were reached, and 35 accepted Jesus as their Savior.

This strategy not only brought new children into our sites but also strengthened the site leaders.

These monthly revivals continued throughout the year, and with your support, we expanded our outreach to impact even more lives.

October 2024

1. David & Leah: Lives Transformed Through Discipleship

2. Pastor Rodwell: A Powerful Testimony of Faith

3. Emergency Wells Repaired During Drought

David & Leah: Lives Transformed Through Discipleship

David, a 2018 graduate, and his wife Leah, who graduated in 2024, embodied the fruit of discipleship.

Leah actively ministered to women in their church and launched a children’s ministry in their village.

Pastor Rodwell: A Powerful Testimony of Faith

David and Leah attended Pastor Rodwell’s church.

Despite being blind, Pastor Rodwell had a remarkable memory for scripture and served as a strong teacher.

With the help of an audio Bible, he continued to spread the gospel and mentor leaders.

This year, we provided additional support to Pastor Rodwell’s ministry and celebrated the ongoing impact of his dedication.

Emergency Wells Repaired During Drought

We repaired 75 wells as planned, but severe droughts led to emergency repairs for 10 more wells at schools and clinics.

This critical work required an additional $5,000–$6,000 in funds, which your contributions helped provide.

November 2024

1. Christmas Celebrations

Christmas Celebrations

As the Christmas season approached, we hosted special celebrations at our children’s ministry sites.

These events included a meal, games, and a message about the significance of Jesus’ birth.

For many children, this was the highlight of their year and the best meal they had during the holiday season.

The team began these celebrations in early November to accommodate all 25,000 children before the rainy season made travel difficult.

December 2024

1. Christmas Celebrations Across Zones

Christmas Celebrations Across Zones

Christmas celebrations kicked off in Chifusa, Naluja, and Katundulu zones.

Children dressed in their best clothes, enjoyed hearty meals, and participated in games.

Graduates from our Bible school ensured that every child heard the message of Jesus’ birth and its importance for their lives.

For most children, this was their only Christmas celebration.

It was made possible through the faithfulness of our partners.

From all of us at OMC, we extend our heartfelt thanks and wish you a Merry Christmas.
