Business Spotlight

Bobber on the Lake

The City of Lake Elsinore’s Economic Development Department is excited to announce the “Bobber On The Lake” as the City’s April 2025 Business in Action Spotlight.

The Bobber On The Lake opened its doors in June 2023 under the ownership of Lake Elsinore residents John “JT” Alarcon and Lashel Trigg. This family-owned barbecue restaurant was built on a vision of serving fresh food and friendly service in a scenic waterfront setting. The Bobber offers more than just great food—it also hosts live music, karaoke, and open mic nights, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere. JT and Lashel aimed to create a welcoming space where families could enjoy a meal together, and where friends—both old and new—could gather and connect. Thanks to the support of loyal customers, The Bobber On The Lake has quickly become a beloved community hub and a vibrant part of Lake Elsinore’s lakefront dining and entertainment scene, celebrated for its delicious BBQ and inviting ambiance.

May is National Water Safety Month

DIVE INTO SAFETY!

Water Safety Month is an annual observance held throughout the month of May, dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of water safety and drowning prevention. Its primary purpose is to educate individuals and communities about the potential risks associated with water-related activities and to promote safe behaviors in and around water.

The month-long observance serves as a reminder for people of all ages to prioritize safety when participating in recreational activities such as swimming, boating, and other water sports. By emphasizing prevention strategies and fostering a culture of vigilance, Water Safety Month aims to reduce the incidence of drowning and water-related accidents, ultimately saving lives and promoting enjoyable, safe experiences in and around water for everyone.

Lake Watch

Based on recent lab results from lake water sampling, the City of Lake Elsinore is announcing that current levels of toxins from algae warrant no advisory at this time. People are advised to avoid scum, to not drink lake water, and to continue to keep pets out of the water.

The City will continue to test the water on a weekly or bi-weekly basis at this time and will post regular updates on the lake conditions as lab results are received.
