All Rogers Bands Sweep 1st divisions at UIL

We did it!! Wind Ensemble joined Symphonic Band in earning 1st division superior ratings from every judge on stage and in sight-reading.    Please congratulate all of the students for their OUTSTANDING performances!

The Contest Season is Upon Us!!!!!

The Spring is always a busy time for music with many contests and festivals to participate in. While more information will be coming out as we are closer to the actual dates, we wanted to keep you in the loop of what is ahead! Times listed are scheduled times when each band performs.   Wind Ensemble:

• April 3rd Dallas Winds Invitational – Meyerson Concert Hall Dallas 10:00am
• April 24th North Texas Festival of Distinction @ Haltom HS 10:45pm
• May 4th Beginner Spring Concert @ WGHS Auditorium 6:30pm
• May 8th SW/CBI/CBII Spring Concert @ WGHS Auditorium 6:30pm

Rogers Band Solo Contest

The Rogers Solo Contest is coming up on the evening of Wednesday, April 15th! This is an event for students who have prepared a solo either in their private lessons or in their band class. Performance times will be around 5-7 minutes long and range between 5:00PM at 8:00PM. Individual times will be assigned to each student as we get closer to the event.

Beginner 4th 9-weeks Project All of our beginners are starting to work on their BIG 4th 9-weeks pass-off project. They are working to pass-off major scales and also lines out of the book. We will keep track with a sticker/pass-off chart. This a great project that students can move at their own pace.
