OV Student Receives Norwich Car Club Scholarship

Otselic Valley student Jacob Depew was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the RAOCC / Norwich Car Club in support of his future career in the automotive industry. Jacob, a student in the Automotive Technology program at the DCMO BOCES Alan D. Pole Campus, received the scholarship to assist with the purchase of tools and supplies as he enters the workforce after graduation. He is already putting the award to good use by building the collection of tools needed for his career. Jacob is currently employed at Reputable Auto and plans to continue pursuing opportunities in the automotive field. The scholarship recognizes both his commitment to the trade and his preparation for a successful transition into the workforce. The award also reflects the ongoing partnership between the Norwich Car Club and the Automotive Technology program. Earlier this spring, Auto Tech students assisted with preparations for the club's annual Memorial Day Weekend car show in Norwich.

Congratulations to Jacob on this well-deserved award, and best wishes as he begins the next chapter of his automotive career!
