It was blustery final Friday evening Concert (Sunday afternoon concerts start August 3rd at 2 PM!), where Liam opted to don his firefighting jacket! He found his people down at the Park in the form of Capt. Briscoe, Firefighter Kai, and Firefighter Henry! He also had that radio all figured out. We look forward to seeing him as part of the Fire Academy's graduating class of 2042!

Join Brisbane PD for National Night Out, August 5
This year's event is set to take place slightly earlier than in year's past, so come right after work or picking up the kids; there will be BBQ by the Brisbane Lions, plus plenty of complimentary refreshments thanks the always-generous owners of Midtown Market. Please plan to join us in the Park from 5-7 PM next Tuesday, August 5th!
Solano St. Fuel Reduction Project
The City of Brisbane and North County Fire Authority continue their efforts to reduce fire risks through ongoing vegetation management. Earlier this week, a private contractor began performing weed cutting, tree limbing, and brush removal on City-owned hillside located between Solano and Humboldt. The vegetation is being cut with hand tools, line trimmers, and chain saws, which may result in some noise. The working hours for this project are from 8 AM - 5 PM. Adjacent neighbors on Solano and Humboldt received a letter detailing this work taking place, which has been scheduled to occur in phases during the months of July and August.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this beneficial vegetation reduction project. Should you have any questions or need additional information, please contact NCFA Safety Inspector Clyde Preston at 650-407-6776 or at cpreston@northcountyfire.gov.

PG&E's Power Pole Replacements in Town
The unit block of Humboldt needed to be closed Tuesday, July 29th, and power shutoff in order for PG&E to replace one of their older power poles. This is the season PG&E subcontractors are working throughout various Peninsula cities, as PG&E much prefers this work to happen now vs. after a storm and a pole potentially getting knocked down from high winds. A similar job will be taking place this Thursday the 31st on the 200 block of Kings, with PG&E’s equipment staged at various spots on Humboldt where 72-hour signage has been placed. Please have your cars off the roadway by the time crews start mobilizing at 8 AM. They will be done and power brought back by 5 PM. Thank you.
And in case you were wondering about the two-pole look once PG&E leaves, with the new pole bolted next to a shorter, older pole...this is because AT&T needs to return to transfer their equipment from the old pole to the new pole. When pole replacements like this are done, PG&E will provide an official notice to AT&T that their portion of the work has been completed, putting the ball in AT&T's court to finish the job, whereupon the traffic encroachment permitting process begins once again!
