My Art

I use my work to explore the emotional depth and chaos within the human experience. From musical projects in rap, rock, metal and electronic music to raw, unfiltered visual art and design, my goal is to create and capture the things we feel uneasy about and often avoid acknowledging. Through Unikultti, I offer sound design, photography, and visuals that lean into the grittiness of life. My photography often focuses on people’s hidden inner turmoil, creating haunting yet honest moments that symbolize the struggles we all face. I often use contrast in my work from black and white to heavy saturated colors. In my music, I let emotion guide the process, allowing chaos as a path to shape the sound. I’ve never been one to follow strict rules in my art—I believe in trusting your eyes and ears during the creative journey and letting each project evolve as it needs to. Everything I create, whether in sound or visuals, is about exploring the untamed corners of the human pshyce. My work invites you to confront demons, what lies beneath and to enjoy darker aspects of art and life.

This is how I view the world.

My Antisocial Social Medias:

Anima

Animus

A shot of a person fixing their mask
Some reading, a fun pastime activity

I don't like social masks and fake smiles

Not seeing a persons eyes makes one uneasy.
Duality of humans. Which one would you show to others?

Some Of My Favourite Shots

Music video

A light rock song I made couple years ago. My friend Sai was inspired by it and shot a music video for it. Since then, my music has progressed in its sound to include more darker elements and also electronic sounds, but the grunge movement and live instrumentation is where I originally started. As I've gone through my art journey, Radiohead, Thom Yorke and Chris Cornell have inspired me and my artistic vision and thus, will always be heard and seen in some of my work.

History With Visual Arts

I became interested in photography in 4th or 5th grade. Before Iphones and good quality videos, photography was only for those who were doing it as a job. Cameras were getting cheaper when people started moving from flip phones to touch screens. The ability to take photos and the affordability for everyone to photograph started to blossom and cameras were starting to become cheaper. During all of this I begged my mother to buy me a camera. A Canon 600d DSLR that was brand new for portrait and landscape photography at the time. It made me fall in love with wandering the city of Lahti, night and day, finding interesting locations like abandoned buildings, railways and industrial areas to practise photography in. The unsettling stillness and raw emotions that places that were empty but once full of life stuck with me. The humanity and the notion of time moving on became a love of mine and even shaped its way into my music. Even everyday things like alleys, buildings and objects became interesting, when viewed through a camera. Trying to find beauty in mundane became sort of a mental challenge. I viewed the world through a lens trying to capture moments in time, not for others, but for me filling my boredom in everyday life.

My Musical History

I originally started my journey playing orchestral percussion instruments from the age of 5 or 6. Frankly speaking it sucked as it didn't leave much for experimentation, and so I changed to more band oriented studies playing drums aimed towards playing live with a band. I have 20 years of experience and knowledge playing and singing in live shows solo and in bands, Choir singing for example in Pro Canto and as a lead vocalist in a couple bands. I have experience spanning over 10+ years in studio sessions both as an artist playing the instruments as well as the production side of arrangement, recording, mixing and mastering. I sell beats and songs in different genres including rock, pop and hip hop for artists to either lease or buy. I've focused my efforts into mixing and composition assistance and also instrument recording assistance such as vocal tracks, bass and drums for artists to use in their own projects!

Why the hell did I have to play electric drums in a orchestral setting? Still had a shit eating grin though.
Studio recording session
Forgot to crop the image but oh well. Festival performance as a frontman.
Sexy stuff. I was working in Lahden Pikkuteatteri. Played percussion and acted. They gave me a fake stomach for this character... *cough* *cough*
Live performance. Laptop froze during performance. Great timing.
Recording drums once again. Hardest part is the setting up...
Recording some guitars.
Theater play 'Fiddler on the roof' performed in Lahden Kaupunginteatteri. I was the rabbi.

Most of my 'unreleased' music is found on Soundcloud. I will be releasing on spotify with my new alias Instrumentalist later this year.

Thank You!

For skimming through the site and for your time. As much as this place is a way to promote myself, it is also something that is dear to me and holds a culmination of my years of experience and effort.

For you reading the things I had developed might've seemed but a short moment in time, but for me was a lifelong commitment to being involved with something that shaped my being. Time filled with tears and sweat for a love of an artform, in which I had been enveloped in.
Hey, that's me!

And the band played on....
