A Culinary Uprising is a riveting look at feminist history and culture. But what really gets me is seeing Selma in her eighties and Noel in her seventies, living out their deeply held principles in such an uncompromised way. Is “success” making a profit and then retiring? Or is success creating a life where those concepts don’t even apply? These women shimmer with a vitality and purpose younger people can only dream of.
