Captivate Update

Your older projects (from Adobe Captivate Classic) are not compatible with the all-new Adobe Captivate. The two versions have been developed in two different technology stacks. However, our team is committed to ensure that your current workflows are not disrupted. Therefore, up to 2027, we will continue to support Adobe Captivate Classic. You will have access to both versions of the product with one license (at no additional cost). So in the meantime, you can work on your existing projects using Adobe Captivate Classic, and new projects using all-new Adobe Captivate.

Additionally, our team is also trying to work on a solution that will allow you to quickly and easily migrate your older projects in the all-new Adobe Captivate. While we are at it, we will continue to support Adobe Captivate Classic.

Planes, trains, and automobiles — how the Port Authority transformed its digital operations

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey manages some of the world’s busiest transportation and trade infrastructure assets — across air, land, rail, and sea — including the top shipping port on the Eastern Seaboard and bustling international airports.

With such vast operations, one of its most significant public service challenges became the need to efficiently convey vital information to millions of customers.

“There was no easy way to communicate information quickly,” says Keith Armonaitis, Lead – IT Innovation Lab at the Port Authority. “That’s why we started looking at redesigning our websites. We knew we needed to get more real-time information out.”

Tech Corner

System Requirements for Creative Cloud 2024

The Creative Cloud 2024 version requires Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 for seamless operation.

For those deploying FRL and employing silent packages on an incompatible operating system, installation failure is inevitable. To avoid such setbacks, please ensure compliance with the specified OS versions outlined in this document.

Your attention to these system requirements is vital to ensure a smooth transition to Creative Cloud 2024.

Introducing the new Acrobat experience

Adobe Acrobat now has a simplified interface to help you quickly discover tools and complete your PDF tasks efficiently. Compared to your current interface, the new version is more intuitive and fluid and provides consistent experiences across all devices -- desktop, mobile, and tablet.

Check out the new interface!

If you have any questions, please let us know at jelatech@adobe.com

Acrobat Classic is now available via the Admin Console for FRL or NUL Licensing

The Acrobat product family provides two tracks for both Acrobat and Reader:

  • The Continuous track provides service-based tools as well as new features, security and platform enhancements, and bug fixes as part of frequent (and most often) silent updates. Over time, the Continuous track’s update cadence will be more frequent than the Classic track. Classic license program customers do not have access to this track for Acrobat
  • The Classic track is similar to the 11.x model and provides few (if any) new features in updates. Free services are available, but optional. Like previous releases, a quarterly update cadence delivers security and platform enhancements as well as bug fixes. Acrobat Classic is now available as an FRL and NUL package that you can create in the Admin console and deploy on your machines. When using the NUL package for Acrobat Classic, only the Adobe cloud storage is available. Other services, such as Share, and Send for review are disabled. For more information, see Feature restricted licensing
