Hands-On Activities Help Students Build Healthy Habits

Students had the opportunity to explore healthy ways to manage emotions during a Coping Skills Fair hosted by Mrs. Hicks and Miss Macrino. The fair featured six interactive stations designed to introduce coping strategies that students can use both at school and at home. Activities included exploring fidget tools, learning how exercise can reduce stress, practicing positive affirmations, reading books about emotions and resilience, creating breathing sticks, participating in mindful coloring activities, and practicing deep breathing techniques.

Students also visited a sensory station where they explored tools such as scented jars, playdough, and bubble wrap to help regulate emotions and calm their bodies. The event provided students with hands-on experiences that encouraged self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy coping habits.

Thank you to Mrs. Hicks and Miss Macrino for creating this engaging opportunity and for supporting students' social-emotional growth.
