St. Thomas University 2023 Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) February 17-18

IMPORTANCE OF PARTICIPATION

Supported by the Department of Education, students can participate in conferences for presenting research posters, and engaging in these events provides an invaluable platform to showcase students hard work . This experience not only improves their communication skills but also exposes them to constructive feedback and novel perspectives. Furthermore, conferences serve as exceptional learning hubs, offering a wealth of knowledge through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops, helping students stay at the forefront of their field.
Students get to show the fruits of their hard work to other students from all across the world at a nearby university's event.

A GREAT EXPERIENCE....!

"I was amazed to see a lot of other students that have worked really hard like me to make their projects real. They would give me their opinions on my own project and allowed me to move forward with my ideas and motivated me to do greater things." -Fernando Guillen.

These events are prime networking opportunities that enable students to connect with like-minded individuals, potential collaborators, and even future mentors.
The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is one of the nation's largest multi-disciplinary research conferences. It is an annual event open to all undergraduate researchers in the state of Florida to present their research in a poster forum. (By Florida Undergraduate Research Association).
