Carroll 5 Northrop 0

Thursday, April 9

The Chargers traveled to Northrop on Thursday to take on the Bruins. Senior Jayce Richards led the way for the Chargers going 5 1/3 innings limited the Bruins to 3 hits. Richards struck out 9 and walked none in his innings of work. Rhett Swoverland pitched the final 1 2/3 innings striking out 3.

The Charger offense was fortunate that their pitching was strong as for much of the night it was a struggle. Simply too many fly ball outs.

The Chargers did get on board in the second when Aiden Corzine singled and later came in on Richard's RBI single. Blake Fitzpatrick then doubled to put Carroll up 2 - 0.

Corzine and Adler Kellams each collected 2 hits for the Carroll offense.

The Chargers improve to 4 - 1 on the young season and return to action on Friday when they host Luers at 6 PM.
