how we started

During a therapeutic hike session between friends, one said “it feels like I’m constantly climbing a mountain. I finally reach the top, and I’m good for awhile, only to find myself at the bottom again. But when we go on these walk and talks it feels like you’re giving me the tools to get up there faster.” And so Mental Mountain, our casual hiking group therapy organization, was born.

Everyone has their mountain to climb. Some will end up climbing that mountain multiple times throughout their life. Mental Mountain equips you with mental health strategies and tools to summit your mountain.

Our logo

Our logo mirrors the metaphor that our friend so aptly used during that fateful hike. The organization’s name, Mental Mountain, is shaped like a mountain with a sun rising over it. The sun, or circles, are a repeated motif throughout our branding, symbolizing light, connection, and hope.

Our brand hopes to capture a chill, light-hearted, and outdoorsy vibe. We try to achieve this with calm colors that mimic nature and fonts that read as casual.
