Promoting connection, resilience, and open conversations about mental well-being

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to reflect on the importance of mental well-being and to support one another through compassion, understanding, and openness.

This year’s theme, “In Every Story, There’s Strength,” reminds us that everyone’s mental health journey is unique and valuable. By sharing our experiences, we build connections, foster hope, and take steps toward breaking the stigma that too often surrounds mental health conversations.

At Otselic Valley, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where students, staff, and families feel empowered to talk about mental health. Throughout the month, we encourage our school community to celebrate resilience, uplift one another, and prioritize well-being—not just in May, but all year long.

Let’s continue to listen, support, and remind each other that no one is alone in their journey.
