THE WUDANG WIKI
The Daodejing (by Laozi)
The Daodejing (道德经), often rendered as "The Classic of the Way and Virtue," is a foundational text of Daoism, deeply revered in the spiritual and philosophical traditions of China. Attributed to Laozi, an enigmatic figure traditionally placed in the 6th century BCE, the text encapsulates the Daoist vision of harmony, balance, and alignment with the natural order. For religious Daoists, the Daodejing is a sacred scripture that offers guidance for spiritual cultivation and living in accordance with the Dao, the ineffable principle that governs all existence.
