Pre-K Students Craft Sensory Bottles as Part of Social-Emotional Learning

Our Pre-K students recently gathered in the Mirrored Cafeteria to show off everything they’ve been learning about empathy and emotions.

They kicked things off with some fun songs—including the “Empathy Song”—and even shared the calming techniques they’ve been practicing, like deep breathing. It was such a great way to see how they’re learning to care for themselves and others.

After the performance, the students got creative by making their own sensory bottles. They picked out colorful pom-poms, glitter, beads, and more, then added glue, water, and food coloring to bring it all together. Each bottle turned out completely unique and gave students something special to help them calm down or refocus.

It was a wonderful celebration of kindness, creativity, and social-emotional learning. We’re so proud of our youngest Vikings for all the care and empathy they show every day!
