Students in kindergarten through second grade enjoyed a unique reading experience as part of their ABC Countdown to Summer activities. For "F Day," students gathered with friends and used flashlights while reading together in their classrooms. The activity provided a fun twist on reading time and gave students an opportunity to celebrate literacy while enjoying one of the many themed days leading up to summer break.
The ABC Countdown to Summer has included a variety of special activities designed to make the final weeks of school memorable. From outdoor chalk art and dance parties to outdoor lunches and other creative events, students have been enjoying opportunities to learn, celebrate, and have fun together. Flashlight Reading was another highlight of the countdown, combining a love of books with a little extra excitement as students counted down the days until summer vacation.
