It started with a library book...
What an amazing piece of synchronicity — an old Sheldon Heath School library book has just been returned… 60 years later!
A big thank you to the person who discovered this book tucked away in an attic and kindly returned it. We can’t help wondering if the original borrower might still be out there somewhere… Don’t worry — we promise there’ll be no late fees! You can still see the old school logo inside the book — does it look familiar to anyone?
With this year being the National Year of Reading and World Book Day just here, we love this perfectly timed coincidence. It also feels like the ideal moment to celebrate and share memories of Sheldon Heath School through the years. At one time, it was one of the largest comprehensive schools in the country! Did you attend Sheldon Heath in the 1960s? Or do you know someone who did? We’d love to collect and share stories, photos, and memories from former students and staff. If you have something to share, please send it to library@kesh.kevibham.org
Below is a selection of photographs of Sheldon through the ages which might spark a few memories for you!
