Missed Regalia Pick-Up at Grad Finale?

If you were unable to pick up your regalia at Grad Finale, please pick it up at The Office of the Registrar.

Monday — Friday | 8:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. Office of the Registrar, Jean Koplin Memorial Hall, Rm. 210

Graduates who have not yet ordered regalia but still plan to participate in the Commencement ceremony may purchase regalia at the Bluejay Spirit Shop, while supplies last.

If you purchase your regalia at the Bluejay Spirit Shop, please email your receipt to commencement@elmhurst.edu to have your commencement tickets added to your Tassel account.

Commencement Ceremony Schedule

Accessibility & ADA Accommodations

Elmhurst University is committed to ensuring all graduates and guests have an accessible and comfortable Commencement experience at the Rosemont Theatre. Guests who require ADA accommodations are encouraged to submit the ADA request form in advance, even for minor or last-minute needs. This allows the Commencement team to best support you on the day of the ceremony. Important notes:

  • Designated accessible parking is available at the venue.
  • Please note that ADA seating is limited.
  • Each guest requiring ADA accommodations may have one additional guest seated with them in the ADA-designated area.
  • All other members of your party will be seated in general admission.
  • The live-stream will include captioning for online viewers.

Arriving at Rosemont Theatre

Students must arrive 1.5 hours ahead of their assigned ceremony time.

  • 9:30 AM arrival - 11:00 AM ceremony
  • 1:30 PM arrival - 3:00 PM ceremony

Parking:

Students and guests are encouraged to park in the main lot at the Rosemont Theatre. If the main lot is full, guests and students should park at the William Street Garage (9500 William St, Rosemont, IL 60018).

Parking in the William Street Garage is free and you can validate your parking pass at the Courtesy Desk, located in the Rosemont Theatre Lobby.

All cars for the 11:00 AM ceremony must exit the main parking lot immediately after the ceremony to allow space for the following ceremony.

Student Information:

  • Students will enter through the loading dock located at the back of Rosemont Theatre for check-in.
  • During check-in, students will receive their GradPass, which is scanned as they cross the stage to display their name, degree, & major.
  • Your assigned seating section will be indicated on the back of your GradPass.

During the Ceremony:

  • Students should follow all directions from ceremony marshals, ushers, & volunteers.
  • When your row is called up to the stage, please leave personal belongings at your seat and only bring your printed GradPass as you proceed.
  • You will be guided behind the stage, lined up for your turn, and directed back to your seat after crossing.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a formal recessional will take place. Please remain seated until a marshal dismisses your row.

Guest Information:

  • Guests are encouraged to park in the main lot at the Rosemont Theatre.
  • If the main lot is full, guests and students should park at the William Street Garage (9500 William St, Rosemont, IL 60018).
Auxiliary police will be on site to help guests cross safely from the parking garage to the theatre.
  • Doors open for guests one hour prior to the ceremony start time.
  • Guests enter through the main entrance on the east side of the theatre, facing N. River Road.
  • Have your e-ticket ready on your phone. We strongly recommend printing or taking a screenshot as a backup.
  • Seating is general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • We kindly ask that both students and guests remain seated throughout the ceremony.
  • Please avoid leaving your seat during the program.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, there will be a formal recessional. Please remain seated to allow the graduating class to exit the theatre.

Ceremony Etiquette

Commencement is a special and memorable experience for graduates to celebrate their achievements with their families and friends. To facilitate an enjoyable ceremony, we ask that all attendees participate in a positive and respectful manner. To that end, please:

  • Remain in your designated seat for the duration of the ceremony.
  • Silence cell phones and other devices.
  • There will be an usher behind stage to cue you to begin walking across the stage.
  • Guests: please remain seated for the duration of the formal recessional.

Amenities

The Bluejay Spirit Shop will be present for guests and graduates to purchase EU memorabilia.

A florist will be located in the lobby of the theatre for purchasing floral arrangements.

Diploma Pick up

Diplomas will be available for in-person pickup at the Office of the Registrar beginning Monday, June 8, 2026.

Location: Jean Koplin Memorial Hall, Second Floor Pickup window: Monday, June 8 – Friday, June 26, 2026 Please note: Office will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

If picking up your diploma in person, please bring a photo ID. After diploma pickup, all reaming diplomas will be mailed to the address we have on file.

Make sure your home address is up to date in Self-Service before the pickup window closes.

What's on your diploma?

Your diploma lists the degree you earned: for example, Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, etc.

Your official transcript is the full picture: All degree(s) awarded and all completed major(s), minor(s), concentrations, GPA and graduation honors live there, along with your coursework. An official transcript is the document employers, graduate schools, and licensing boards require for the complete record of your work at Elmhurst.
