Midland's own Leah Wilcox is a gritty glitterball of a songwriter. A mix of romance, fun and edge , she share's songs of the female experience in her unique Indie Pop-rock style. Starting at open mics at 15, Leah began borrowing equipment from school for pub gigs until she could buy her first acoustic guitar. Now, at 21, Leah's hazy sound is rooted in an Indie Americana landscape she likes to call 'Countrygaze-Pop', drawing on 70s sounds to share her journey through life. Alongside her sparkling band she dotingly nicknames 'her chikas' expect a set with dashes of choreography, elegance, and energy.

Recently featuring on BBC Radio with her new releases, "feet fall forwards." and making major appearances at festivals like TRUCK Festival, YNOT, Splendour, The Great Escape, Leestock, the SXSWL Roadshow and Moseley Folk & Arts Festival, Leah's sound is an amalgamation of artists like CMAT, Slow Pulp, Lola Young, Bôa, Fleetwood Mac, Wunderhorse, Big Thief.

 Working with RatCat MGMT and virtuoso puppeteer Richard Coombs (ABBA: The Last Video Ever (Eurovision Semi-Finals), Star Wars Ep 7, Spitting Image. A recipe mix-up leads to Leah baking up a 'mini-me', who undergoes her journey as an artist, whilst Leah trades places in a puppetry world of living spoons and blenders in ties.
