Moses Hopson III, MFA

Versatile digital media professional with a strong foundation in storytelling, film production, creative content development, and higher education.

Moses Hopson III is an educator, filmmaker, and storyteller originally from Newbern, Alabama, by way of Chicago, and now based in Greensboro, North Carolina. With an MFA in Film Production from Full Sail University and a BA in Journalism and Digital Media from Stillman College, Moses brings a unique blend of academic leadership and hands-on media experience to higher education. From teaching middle school science through filmmaking projects to leading student engagement initiatives at Stillman College and North Carolina A&T State University, his work centers on creativity, mentorship, and cross-disciplinary learning.

In the professional film world, Moses has contributed to over ten productions, working with Hollywood-trained talent on both studio and on-location sets. He co-wrote and was second AC/ prop master for The Russell Gemstones, a limited series currently being pitched to Netflix, and has independently written, directed and produced two short films Gods Child and In my Father's Eyes with his company, MH3 Productions, he continues to direct and edit content using industry-grade Sony cinema equipment. Passionate about empowering the next generation, Moses is committed to blending real-world experience with inclusive, student-centered teaching in the classroom.
