2023-24 Eye on the Goal
Our 2023-24 Eye on the Goal (EOTG) document is posted on our website. The EOTG articulates our district’s strategic plan. This plan aligns our practices and efforts toward a common vision and mission. Department and building-level EOTG plans have a uniform design and approach. As a result, our system is integrated and aligned – we are all moving in the same direction. The following list highlights some of the district’s key focus areas for the 2023-24 school year.
- Enhance staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention practices.
- Create and deploy action steps to improve reading and math achievement and growth and college, career, and community readiness.
- Build expertise in the use of Professional Learning Communities to identify Standards of Focus (SOFs) and create Common Formative Assessments (CFA).
- Deploy effective strategies to close the achievement gap for students with performance within the bottom quartile of our student population, utilizing high leverage practices (HLP), Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Multi-Leveled Systems of Support (MLSS).
- Attend to continuous improvement efforts related to student engagement, parent satisfaction, and employee engagement.
2023 Summer School Enrollment
Muskego-Norway Schools summer programming continues to thrive as we keep the minds and bodies of our students and staff active during the summer months. This year, we continued to see strong participation, close to the highest we have ever seen. We are thrilled to see that over 50% of our resident students are taking advantage of the gap-closing, enrichment, or credit-bearing courses. In large part, our participation, which can be seen in the graph below (Number of Student Participants by Year), continues to see high levels due to the enrichment opportunities being offered. For example, this year alone, we had 696 students participate in our swim lesson program, which is now being offered for a fourth year in a row. We are thrilled that the high levels of enrollment continue to allow students to positively engage during the summer months and have a positive impact on our District budget.
