On August 22, 2022 I arrived in South Korea with the purpose of studying the language and receiving training and to the Glory to God it has been 2 years and one month of my stay in Korea where I not only received training, but I had the opportunity to be a member of a beautiful family of 19 nationalities where I learned the kindness, service, love of each culture.

On September 27th was my flight from South Korea to France, so I had to make all the preparations for the trip including getting everything in order, such as the house where I was renting, organizing the luggage, among other things.

The last week in Korea was great as I was invited to the DMZ Paju. DMZ: The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a strip of land that runs through the heart of the Korean peninsula along the 38th parallel line. It is one of the most heavily fortified zones in the world and separates North Korea from South Korea.

We visited the third tunnel which was discovered in 1978, just 52 km from Seoul. Located in the city of Paju, this tunnel is 1,635 m long and has a height and width of 3 m, which is enough for thirty thousand armed North Korean soldiers to pass through it in one hour.

This tunnel is so far the largest tunnel discovered in South Korea, demonstrating North Korea's firm intention to invade South Korea in the past.

It was an amazing experience to enter and get to the end of the tunnel where we could see the other side, NK.

You can not enter the tunnel with cameras, cell phones or bags etc. so I could not take pictures.

I found a 1-minute video on YouTube, so you can see what the tunnel looks like (click on tunnel).

Thank God for this precious parting gift He gave me of visiting the DMZ and being able to look from afar at the promised land. I am hopeful that I will be able to enter soon.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland".

I have been meditating on this Bible verse in Isaiah. I am sure that new things are coming.

It is time for goodbyes, although it is sad on one hand but happy on the other because new things are coming. In total there were 4 farewells that made me very emotional and full of love.

Grateful for so much love

After a long trip, where I lost my hand luggage, so I had to stay one night at the airport in Munich-Germany, but thank God the next day I recovered the suitcase and they found me another flight, finally I am in France in the company of my nieces and sister.

Activities I will be doing during my time in France

1) Attend via zoom to the theoretical training of Pioneers International Mexico (PIMEX) this training is called Pro-Community Orientation. There are several sections where I must read and do activities in order to give contributions.

2) Attend via zoom to the biblical seminar.

3) Continue to lead the NK Prayer group (For the last 3 years Alexas and I have been leading a prayer group for NK, via zoom. We have the assistance of several people from Latin America).

4) Study Korean.

5) To share with my family and to be a testimony.

THANK YOU LORD!

Thankful to God that I am already in France, God kept my entry and exit.

Thank God for the precious farewell gift I received by visiting the DMZ - Paju and having the opportunity to be able to look from afar at the promised land.

Thank God for the community of 태백 ( The Four River) where I am allowed to share, learn and prepare for the mission entrusted to me.

Thanks be to God for his faithfulness in sustenance and protection.

Thank God for the team of brothers and sister in faith who have faithfully sustained me through prayers, word of encouragement, finances and messages.

How to keep remembering me in prayer?

1. That the Church in Seoul that was giving me the online Korean language course may give me the opportunity to continue my studies

2. That I can find a church where I can congregate during my stay in Nice.

3. God to give me wisdom, strength and guidance during my training process with the Pioneers International Mexico Missionary Agency.

3. May I love our Lord more, with surrender. Love His Word, long for His presence, experience His joy, and be a good steward for His glory.

4. For the possible trip to NK for the month of December. God prepare everything (wisdom, fullness of the Holy Spirit, guidance, humility, obedience and prudence).

5. Pray for perseverance, patience, and faith.

6. Wisdom for the studies in the bible seminary.

I ask you to join me in praying for Venezuela.

Peace in the midst of the storm

For God to establish His Kingdom in Venezuela

For the mourning families who have lost their children in the midst of protests.

God establish His Justice and Judgment which are the foundation of His throne.

For protection and provision over my family, friends and brothers in faith

In the midst of the difficult situation that many may come to know Christ as their savior.
